MAY 2012 Workbench
« on: May 14, 2012, 02:16:12 PM »
Some sneaky shots whilst Kev was taking the kids to school

A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather & ask for it back when it starts to rain.

most mornings i wake up grumpy.   sometimes i just let him sleep.

my life consists of brief snatched moments of living my life hidden deep among chaos, confusion& the  going crazy, every night i go to sleep filled with hope & enthusiasm for the new day coming.  then i wake up & think "here I go again" & just aim to survive.

I see some gorgeous ladies in there!  Front and centre is Succubus Libby and right behind her is another barbarian babe.  Very interested in the babe in the last two photos too as well as the chick in the background of the second photo.  The giant guy looks interesting too.  What's his story?

As for Kalee:  Every time I look at her I marvel at her (and kev's skills).  Her amazing chest perfectly matches her wonderful bottom   Sorry had to be said.  I think I'll need to buy a few of her when she is cast up.  Is she going to have the same weapon options as the original 40mm?  What ever her weapons, I'll need at least three of her I think.  I need a couple more 40mm Artemis too at that.

I seem to remember donating as well. I also seem to remember missing out on the scenic base because the internet was being abd and not eltting me donate (pages not laoding etc). So I either missed the deadline by a tiny little bit or I got in if it recognised my earlier attempts. Wasn't that a right pain in the bum?

There used to be a thread here on the FOD about it somewhere in the general section but I can't find it any more :(.

And for a few moments there I thought the woman in the background in the second photo was going to be Sasha and we wouldn't get to see her released under the Hasslefree banner. Now I'm relieved as she looks like a really fun model. Is it too late to ask for a gaming scale version of Kaylee with the sword & shield option that her 40mm counterpart has? Too late as in that woman in the background could already be her (but probably isn't).

Why am I thinking the new barbarian woman with the axe and the fur cloak and She Man will be part of a Celtos maidens of the Blade style bunch of themed barbarian women Kev'll be doing who could make a fun little gang for games like Mordheim or Warcanto?

That woman in the background with the sword. Is the left arm supposed to be giving me the impression she's going to be one of the Gladiatrices who definitely aren't pop stars?

Just saying, if someone is interested.

The stand-outs for me (apart from ALL the wonderful girly sculpts) are the power armoured human trooper and the huge ogre-type with his hand resting on the pommel of his sword... he is bloody brilliant!

So Sasha will be a Kev mini then :-). I like Tre's stuff as well but Kev has a masters touch when it comes to sculpting the ladies.

Yep, I see it.

I'm intrigued by the female with a sword in the second photo. I love the new female barbarian (and will be getting her) but I'd prefer a sword armed one for an rpg character. Please tell me she'll be a barbarian, Kev!

Because it's not going to be a sword-weilding barbarian or because you're just a tease at heart?

Hooray! I was hoping she wouldn't be just so we could get some variation. Putting her with She Man and Alicia and all we need to do is persuade Kev to do us a kind of witchy one that does magic to make a nice little skirmish group/adventuring party.

So
Kev
witchy one!

I see a couple especially short & stout figures here... might we be getting some new fantasy halflings in the near future?  :boing:

'Cause that would be exciting! Of course, everything else here looks pretty awesome, so... I'll probably be happy with *any* of this rolling off the line.
