Updates to April Workbench
« on: April 27, 2012, 10:07:04 AM »

A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather & ask for it back when it starts to rain.

most mornings i wake up grumpy.   sometimes i just let him sleep.

my life consists of brief snatched moments of living my life hidden deep among chaos, confusion& the  going crazy, every night i go to sleep filled with hope & enthusiasm for the new day coming.  then i wake up & think "here I go again" & just aim to survive.

Love the pesky kids!!  I've been saving up for a hasslefree order, now it appears I'll have to stash some more cash aside for these.  I can not wait to get my hands on them!!  I recently found a van on ebay that is the perfect scale.  Kind of cartoony but once it is rusted up we'll see how it looks.

I recently found a van on ebay that is the perfect scale.

Details, details...

Make, model number etc..

The vehicle in the movies was a 1963 chevy van G-10.
A few minutes googling and I've found nothing suitable around 1:50, 1:48, 1:43 etc..

It is some random Happy Meal-ish toy.  I got it in a lot of other stuff.  Here's a link to the auction it was in.  The van measures roughly 3.5 x 2 inches.  I wish I knew more details about the thing.  Is it too cartoony or just the right thing because it is exactly the right van?  ConfusedDad did supply me with the info for the van he used for his Machine.  It is a Zingers Super Van  It needs a bit of conversion but looks great the way he did it.  I may snag up one of these too and see which i like better.

I wasn't really fussed about the unarmed models owing to not being fussed about what they not are.

Wolsey armed up however, looks like he may be on my want list to be a survivor character.

Much goodness.

I'd bought some of your M16s to convert to M4A1 but now I'll be buying them instead!

The Wolsley is a definite for my Aliens/Outpost/Predator/etc game though I'll probably straight swap the axe for an auto shotgun (now if you could make an alternative with the shotgun....)

I've already said Wolsey (b) is really good.  I was somewhat kidding about just giving Louise (b) a thong so the nice work on her behind isn't covered up.  However, I saw the figure finished up on your facebook page, and it is well done for sure.  Everything about the figure brings out more character.  I have no use for these figures other than to buy them and have fun painting them.  I give a lot of figures to my grown daughters as they like to show them off in display cases.  The rest of them go in my display case.  The other two figures in this b series are fine, but the Wolsey and Louise are superb.
