NEW DWARVES for FEB/MARCH 2012
« on: February 27, 2012, 10:31:15 PM »

Each pack contains 4 different bodies and a sprue of 4 different shields.  Pack HFD023 contains 4 hand weapons and pack HFD024 contains 4 spears.  Both packs are inter-changeable so the spear arms will fit the bodies from the hand weapons packs and vice versa.

Very reasonable priced at 10.83 plus VAT per pack which comes in to 13 per pack once the VAT is added on.  That means 3.25 per dwarf. Yes you are all very lucky that I am so wonderful bringing you Kevs gorgeous dwarves at such excellent prices, dont worry I wont let you forget!

We have also had a restock of HFD017 which is the other dwarf multi-pack and we have brought that price down to match the two new packs.

Superb, thank you so much  :notworthy:  :notworthy:

Now how much bonus credit do I have left? Better start looking for the little piece of paper :D

Very grateful for these, but you will do the crossbowmen as well, right? And maybe even hit out when?

:D OH MY. I have already gushed rather enthusiastically on Facebook (Can you guess who I am?) but it is only proper that I praise you here too.

As you may or may not recall, I have been eagerly awaiting new Norman/Erebor Dwarves for quite some time. And finally here they are - and they are so worth the wait. Kev has done a superlative job, as usual. I love that these guys all have the real world Normanesque mail from toe to foot, without any more fantastical elements. Just as with several of your other dwarf figures, these are perfect for portraying Erebor dwarves as Tolkien describes them in the Hobbit (forget GW's interpretation, or even Mr Jackson's - THESE are the ticket). I must also praise you on the posing; there have been some inspired choices - the spearmen in particular stand out for me.

And let's not forget, thanks to the weapon hands being seperate, there is nothing to stop people from buying the spear dwarves and using them with hand weapons - or vice versa. I am most certainly going to be trying this out myself. So we have a lovely range of variety to choose from. But it doesn't end there. Not only have you delivered, but you have reduced the prices too! Honestly, if you wanted me to fall in love with you you only had to buy me flowers. ;)

Am I right in thinking that there are still more to come? I seem to recall seeing a green of a dwarf with a double handed weapon?  And oh yes, the crossbowmen, mustn't forget those! Lots more to come yet then. It MUST be Christmas!  :boing:

In the meantime, my War of the Ring Erebor army (already largely using your figures) is about to receive considerable reinforcements.  :D My dream dwarves are here at last.Thank you Kev and Sally for making my day.  :D A first class job, as always.  :applause:

P.S. On Facebook I took the hammer to be a mattock - but it's actually the hammer again. Which is close of course, and does at a pinch, but Kev was saying at one point that he was going to be releasing some actual mattocks (for the ultimate perfect Tolkien/Erebor dwarf). Is he still doing this?

Yes, the two-handed weapon types will have mattocks :)

.... and, you're welcome :D

This is the next batch of moulds due to go tomorrow.  If all goes according to plan instead of the next batch of releases being the 26th March they will be the 19th!

8 bodies
8 weapons
4 shields

That's 256 combinations, at 3.25 each that's 832

Sally.. How much credit do I have left? Hmmm....

Anyway best dwarves ever! Even nicer than my beloved grenadier dwarfs, and I have 600+ of them....
