HF site access.
« on: January 10, 2012, 07:30:41 AM »
I am unable to get onto the Hasslefree site at the moment and I can't understand why.

I am using the same link I always do and have tried the link from here as well.

I have emptied my history, cache and cookies.

I have tried using Google Chrome and Firefox and on both browsers I get 'not recognised'.

Am I the only one having problems with this and if I am, could someone post the link they are currently using so that I can go to the site...please :).

This is most annoying :(.

I can access it fine via a google search - 'Hasslefree miniatures' then clicking on the www.hfminis.co.uk link (top of search).

Which is the way I normally access HF's site.

I've no problems with the HF site, but I have had problems with the FoD. I frequently have to refresh after getting a blank screen initially. That's IE on WIndows and Dolphin on Android.

Okay,

its a mystery to both the web hosting company and the website developer.  I could access from home but not from the office pc, only my mobile.  Browsers tried included IE, Firefox and Safari.

Browser makes no difference neither does software platform or mode of access (ipad, mobile phone, laptop etc)

The common denominator appears to be BT and UK-based customers.  So far investigation hasnt pinpointed whether it was all over the Uk or just one region.  I can only assume that there was an issue somewhere and they reduced server traffic to cope with it, of course it was the smaller websites like ours affected...yahoo etc were fine.  So basically we are stumpted but the good news is that it all seems to be fine now ( touch wood, cross fingers, go get a beer and hoep for the best).

If it re-occurs please repost on this thread so we can figure out who is accountable and go kick some butt!

Thanks for your patience guys

Sally :)

+1 for common denominator then, being both UK based and using BT broadband :D

All working fine now though!

okees, what browser are you using/have you tried.  what is your ISP.  can you clear your temp files and try again?  what error message do you get, can you get a screenshot please .

lets see if we can figure this out!

it is fine for us at the moment in all browsers on BT and Virgin and O2
