 Darn tootin'!

 I love them...

The sniper pic seems to be a bit small and the wo-man isn't displaying for me

 Love 'em!

Soon your bald gangers will need a reliable 'requisitions' officer...called Pockets

Crabman is the nuts, perhaps shorter legs?  Sir Roger is great too, I think I'd leave the sheild off as it hides the figure (obviously) and use it as scenery, is it only available with the Dragson?  Both of these make me want to paint immediately.  Your sculpting just keeps leaping up a notch!!

(Nothing wrong with the sci-fi stuff I'm just not a sci-fi troop buyer so won't comment)

@Pockets: Should work now!

Gi6ers:Crabby needs multi-legs in my opinion. His body is too crab like for bipedal to really gel. You probably can't see it from that pic, but he's also massive, it's a 40mm base he's on. I got a bit depressed cos he's not going in a way that feels right...yet.

Sir Roger may be available separately, not sure yet. Depends how the other 'paladin' goes.

I love the direction the sci-fi troops are taking.  I am already hoping to see a bigger range of poses, I can definitely use them.

The crab man reminds me of the Mirelurks from Fallout 3 (in that they are bipedal crab men).  Which is a good thing, I mean... I like Fallout.

Crabby is the dogs danglies...may I suggest leaving him so he could be sci fi or fantasy?

There will be plenty more poses for the troopers, I just got to get a decent amount of dull ones in first so that people can build armies that aren't entirely all pointing, waving, hollering or dragging their wounded buddies to safety (Yes, there will be one set of those)

Crabby if/when he gets finished, won't have any guns. He's like a carnifex, all crushing and smashing and smelling of rotting fish.

I reckon if you shorten the legs and add another set it'll look great, what about rotating the knee joins so the knees face more sidewards or so you have a knee at each corners (hope that makes sense)  The manipulator limbs look a bit too large IMO, I'd prefer a small set or 2 for cramming bits of human into his mouthparts  :D  It'll also look a lot cooler with the assymetrical second pincer...

Mirelurks are a great idea for inspiration for a crabman.

Thanks for posting the pictures

I am the opposite to Gi6ers as Sci-Fi is my "bag"

I also like the way troopers are going -

Favourite helmet is the male trooper right hand bottom picture - my guess would be that this is the one that you said had a samurai vibe. The left hand one is a bit too much like other Sci-Fi figures (Copplestone particularly I think), the skull mask does not do much for me personally. I know some like bareheaded troops but it always strikes me as a bit odd that a chap (or chapess) gets all armoured up but then does not bother with a helmet! I think that the "samurai" helmet would give your troops a unique look - having said that I prefer the goggles look of the left hand chap to the visor of the right hand one.

Female trooper looks good as well - is it your intention to make the armour/uniform pretty much the same as the bloke?

Really looking forward to seeing these progress.

Sniper looks nice as well - should work well with the sentry figure.

Very nice.  I likee.  I likee a lot and want to see a shed load more of the Troopers.  And if you can base a squad around the Colonial Marines model I would be very, very happy  (2 heavy machine gun types, 2 flamers/alt. heavy, 1 sarge, 1 medic, 4 assorted troopers/specialists)

But yeah, those are going to get painted up as either Militech or Arasaka corporate military types...

Like the ganger and the troopers.

Crabby looks odd. The legs are far too spindly to hold that body. The legs could do with being thicker I think.

Speaking as a marine biologist there's no such thing as too crabby :)
I think he's brilliant but concur his legs need a little work though. He's on my "to get" as of now. The others I like but am not too bothered with getting not being a particularly sci-fi type of guy (mini wise at least).

Yes. It's a WIP. Those are literally a couple of bits of wire in the right shape with some putty on, nothing like the final piece might necessarily be. Only the body and the large claw are anything like the final thing would probably appear! It's essentially a sketch in putty, trying out some ideas, that sort of thing.
@Gav Apologies! Although if you followed me on Twitter you'd have known about the sniper a couple of weeks ago ;)

Thanks for all the comments, guys. If it's of any interest to anyone I'm picturing these painted in some camo scheme but maybe with dark green or grey chipped armour plating, trying to balance out the generic sci-fi-ness  with some plausible modern roots. (In my head these are Britidsh troops of some sort, I've put little squares on the helmet to be painted as ID flags for the country federation or dictatorship of your choice - or easily filed off if you prefer.) The gun is hopefully something that might well be used in the next 100 years or so, but with better materials in the construction and different ammo etc. to todays guns. The helmets would contain HUD and comms, full computer and stuff, it being the future tech would be very small and thus more portable. Backpack would contain Compressed Molecule equipment such as tents/sleeping bags, waterproof or chem kit, able to be expanded at the flick of a switch. If I'm really lucky then one of you talented buggers will paint the visors with little targeting visuals faintly visible or something...
I'm calling the rifle (The one blu-tacked to the female trooper's breastplate is a narrower, underslung-grenade-launcher-less version of the same rifle held by the male trooper, which has proved to be too wide and bolter like to do any decently half-realistic poses with. Much to my disgust and annoyance, I put a lot of effort into the first one. Curses! I had hoped it would be reduced in width a lot more by two mouldings. It wasn't.

Crabby - I had in my head a vaguely more human looking thing. But it got crabbier as I went on. No law saying I can't have different types of Crabmen (although Crab is a misnomer, sort of generally-weird-Crustacean would be more fitting)though, so I'll persevere with it in this vein rather than throw it away and start another one just yet.

Liking these a lot Andy.

You need a ganger guy firing a pintle mounted heavy weapon.

Sort of support weapon, or vehicle mounted......

Speaking for myself I always find the sculptor's thinking  very interesting  and I like the idea of flying the flag as well.

I kept comparing the guns in the different pictures and had come to the conclusion they were the same so could not understand why I preferred the one in the picture of the female!

Of course, I would also enjoy a miniature of Darnell "Crabman" Turner.
