So, Wesley snipes. I will need a few of those. Does that make him James Dial?
And can we have an alternate Wesley with a crossbow, or a Blade?

Example paint job to give you an idea of what it should look like, more or less. Was going to do camoflauge scheme but decided it was a bit beyond my abilities/time limit.

Blade is something that will probably be happening soon. Well, hopefully, anyway.

One question: Is the backpack integral, or a separate piece? If the former, can't we have it separate? I don't like loading my troopers with extra weight, and I know from past experience that removing a backpack from a mini is not as easy as it seems.

EDIT: Ooops, I forgot to mention that you're likely onto a winner with these troopers! :applause:

I really like these troopers, however I think I would prefer them with the pack optional.

Did you decide how multi-part they would be?

Zoë's going to hurt me but I think the troopers have gone on my 'need' list - they're awesome!

Apparently Khurasan do a Crabman that's similar looking already.

I think the chap who runs it is pissed off for some reason. I honestly hadn't seen it, but there's no denying it's pretty similar (although his is smaller). There's only so many ways of doing Crabmen I guess!

Wish I'd seen that sketch and the green when I was googling last month, I wouldn't have wasted my time with Crabbie! Would have gone for something a bit different in look, more man-like.

Maybe change him into a Lobster Man.  Long body and a tail.  Bigger claws.  He could have many legs coming off the body instead of two humanoid ones.

Why do anything different from what you are? If he was doing his in 28mm, then sure, he can be cranky. For those of us who are not interested in 15mm though, his loss. I like his sculpt, but I am looking forward to yours for my Fallout project, and I would use his, if they weren't 'mini-mirelurks'...but they are. A 9' critter in 15mm is barely waisthigh on a heroic 28mm. I love some of his sculpts, but really?

I say do yours, and do it NOW.  :whip: I needs me some mirelurks...

Yet he's making a Zoat...people in glass houses an' that

Anyway, I was thinking about some Citi-Def troopers for a Gangs of Mega-City One game, so that's sorted - cheers Andy

I think the chap who runs it is pissed off for some reason.

I wonder why you'd say that when we chatted about this privately?

You actually asked me if I was pissed and I said that I just thought it was ironic, and I explained why too.

Last year I was liking the way that Andy's dragon was shaping up so I e-mailed him to tell him so and ask if he would give me permission to use it as a basis for a 15mm dragon.  Andy said no.  He said a lot of thought goes into the design of a model like this.  All I needed to hear, I agree with him on that and backed right off.  (I've since decided to make my dragon, which hasn't even been started yet, wingless and more lizardy.)

Well, then a month or so ago I open up a thread on TMP and I see a crabman quite similar indeed to concept sketches I had posted on TMP in fall of 09.  Hmm, I think, who made that?  Why, it's the very same Andy from Heresy!  People started e-mailing me and telling me that it was an obvious copy, something I was not so convinced of, but I just had to laugh when I thought of the conversation Andy and I had had about the dragon, and now this turns up!  So I wrote Andy privately and that's pretty much what we talked about.  I pointed out how ironic it was to see the crabman after the dragon discussion.  Andy said yes, it would be ironic, except he had not seen my concept sketches and that was good enough for me, believed him.  Still, as I said, it was ironic for my part!

This all happened privately because I wouldn't post anything like this publicly (even though several people chose to do so on that TMP thread), as it could hurt someone's reputation to air this kind of thing publicly.

And that, as the man says, is that.
