Having said all of that. Denial of the inevitable demise of our own existence is the one reason we have civilization, progress, technology and generally a working economy. If it wasn't for the poor schmoes who got up and did their thankless and necessary jobs every day, we wouldn't have all the mod cons around us. I think the ethos of enjoying today is an important one, but remember that we owe it to each other and our little ones to carry on with our lives and jobs regardless. If you take the pure nihilist view of life to its extreme, then you might as well not attempt any great task in life as its just pointless.  Frankly I would prefer to go to my grave doing something I love to the best of my ability. Friends, family, every  one you know and love will leave you at the end. At the end of it all , all you have is your life, achievements and your memories. A life without interesting memories is going to be a big disappointment when you are in your wheel chair in the nursing home.

Yes I am drinking at the moment.

I have been sneakily uploading new stuff all week, this is just some of it, i still have a big box to go through!

The Pk-Pro is in the Architectural Etched Brass Section ( )
and both Fenris Games and Armorcast are in the Resin Terrain section(

Everything shown is limited stock at the moment so if there is something you fancy you will need to grab it quick!
PK Pro and Fenris Games are ongoing suppliers however the Armorcast stuff although completely gorgeous and fantastically detailed is too expensive for us to import.
Also tucked away in the Sci-fi armoury ( are the Armorcast muzzle flashes.

Kev says it is a different character

I just found out that after a short illness the mother of one of Megans classmates died today, on her sons 9th birthday.  Two years ago another child in the same class lost her mum.

Just reminds you that nothing in life is certain.

RIP Lisa Stuart 24.11.11

Sally - will you let us know if she does make it into the moulds?  :notworthy:

of course!

An old Cherokee told his grandson,
"My son, there's a battle between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, & ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, & truth."
The boy thought about it & asked, "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee replied, "The one you feed."

There are quite a lot of good quotes on Facebook right now so here is where we post our favourites.  Remember basic rules as not posting anything likely to cause offence so nothing overtly political and certainly nothing racist.

My favourites right now are:

"There are two ways to be fooled.  One is to believe what isnt true and the other is to refuse to accept what is true"

"Dont like me?  Have a seat with the rest of the bitches waiting for me to give a f***"

"Christmas??? F*** off its still November"

The only bad thing is that, once again, he's joined the weapon haft to her back wich makes it harder to swap for something non hafted. It also looks like the blade might connect to the boot which'd make it even harder to replace.

Harder to replace more successful to cast. You choose.

also cheaper to produce.  Figures with their arm options attached to their basing tag take up more space in the mould which means we get less multiples in per spin but the same spin cost which has to be divided between the figures produced, so each figure that is cast costs more per unit.  Casting with arms/weapons attached to basing tags also throws up about 10-15% more miscasts per spin than if the figure is one piece as Kev has made it.  Miscasts can be lack of filling plus also the thinner the item the more likely we are to get a slight mould slip which will obliterate details.

It isnt a case of more profit per figure as such as we expect each figure to produce a certain cash return per spin when it goes into production.  If it has casting issues that prevent it reaching this target then we have less to invest in the next batch of releases and projects with low returns like Axenarf and the Walker would then get pushed further back along the production queue.

Aww Kevs moaning.  He wanted to call her Haydin in keeping with the other female dwarves but i renamed her Hayden cos i think it suits her more plus he based her face on Hayden Panattierre (is that the right spelling?) as he was watching 'Heroes'.  I told him i could change it if he wanted but he is sulking at the moment and has ensconced himself in BFBC3 by way of consolation.

Both my kids wants to paint metal Axenarf (b)

So .....? :D

How good are they with greenstuff?   The resin master of axenarf that went for casting twisted in the mould and needs to be remade, the masters are unworkable but if they are good with greenstuff i can ship you one out!

Thought it better I voiced my concerns now while there's ( in theory at least ) a chance things could be changed before it went for casting. Because afterall if those were my first thoughts, then they could be the first thoughts of others too and they could be put off of buying it.

nope , thats fine.  Over the years we have realised that we only please about 80% of the people about 80% of the time and thats the thing about what we make, everyone has a different pre-conceived idea of something they want to buy and when one gets made that maybe either doesnt fit the subconcious thoughts they had or is different to one they previously saw then you get a difference of opinion.

We dont want fanboys who agree with everything we do, we couldnt have progressed as far as we have if we had that kind of customer base.  valid criticism is always good and it is how we improve.

Kev makes what he wants to make, what he sees in his head, his perceptions of what a figure should comprise of.  It isnt to say if you post your criticism that it will be ignored, it all gets taken on board but at the end of the day he is as stubborn as hell and if he wants to do something a certain way and what you want isnt accomplished in his concept executions then he carries on regardless. That is how its done or not at all!

PS:  I have two more Kevs at home, Kieran is now 11 and Luke is 4 and it is like living in a house full of stubborn sheep sometimes.

i had never even noticed the mouth thing that people are going on about until now.  i cant say it bothers me personally but then as someone who doesnt really get as emotionally involved with 'toys' (not meant in a derogatory way)  like you guys do i just think if it bothered me i would put some filler over it.

Sally, do you reckon you'd do the antlers from that big fella as an option for the dwarf?

you are asking me?  Kev does the technical stuff, i just pimp his wares (and do the admin, house stuff, look after the kids, shopping, cooking, cleaning, become a BFBC3 widow and anything else that needs doing)

But if he makes it then i will sell it.

Please, Please tell me Kev will do more of the PA dudes!

i have no influence whatsoever over what he sculpts, i tell him to do something and he says "yes dear" and does the complete opposite....... you go ask him he might listen to you!

In theory Kev should just drop everything and finish this figure when the 28 day poll expires.  However this will be dependent on the following:

1:  How many Grymn he needs to finish
2:  If he has finished his freelance work.

So basically the winner will be next in line for finishing but it could be anytime from December to January when it is done.

Kev says "Standard version being cast as resin, price to be confirmed as we will have to wait for the caster to get a copy done.
The open version with the seated pilot still has a few more cockpit details to be done before it can go to production.
The standing figure will be cast in metal and be sold separately to the walker."

Enjoy! and have a nice weekend!

Will any of the new dwarfs be released before Christmas ?

Not as production castings, sorry.  I may have some spare masters though once i have finished grading them
