a lot of them will go into production however niche they may initially seem, HF has always been about promoting new talent.  we invest quite a lot financially in sculpting competitions from the giving away of the armatures and postage costs to the prizes, the time spent editing and judging and chasing entries up through to production and master moulds and physical castings.

but i like seeing what people make!

Having a lot of trouble with facebook (not to mention I hate it and wish it would die), but I think my entries are missing. How's the best way to get in touch about that?
send me the details of the email you used to send the pics, i will search on the pics inbox and see if i have missed downloading it.

Okay, i have got the initial pics of all of the entries onto the Facebook page.

I am concerned with 74 pictures about it affecting the running of the FOD.  All of the pics are variable sizes and the folder with the jpgs in runs at 43MB.  I dont have a problem popping it on one of our dedicated image servers but will need to edit them all individually to ensure that none go over 800 pixels wide or it might not load on the FOD.

Shall i get them on here or are you happy to browse Facebook?

I can see a problem with those who do not have Facebook accounts so if you are happy to bear with me a little while longer i will fit in reducing their sizes a bit to make browsing on here easier.

is that okay?

Price for a full set?

with standard 10% off for multi-packs it would bring the price down from 11.67 (+vat = 14) per pack to 10.50 (+vat = 12.60 ) per pack...so 42 (+vat= 50.40) for all 16 or 2.62 (+vat = 3.15) per figure.

i suppose i should go create a multi-pack option then..............

The new 'White Ops' fire teams are now safely photographed, coded and in the shop!
 Phew, what a week!
These ones are the original moulds that we bought an show the figures with the
integral bases.  As Kev converts and adds to the range they will all have slotta tabs.
Kev will be adding to the greens to build up more teams and also (if you want them!)
 individual character pieces.

As you can see from the scale shots at the bottom, they fit really well with our existing ranges
and Woody (Richard Anwell) has done a great job.

Thanks to Frank Hammond for wanting to give his wife a new bathroom and giving us a chance to buy them.

Command Team

Assault Team 1

Assault Team 2

Support Team

I have done some scale shots so you can see how they fit in with the current HF figures.

Announcements and News / Upgrading and Changing Servers.
« on: November 08, 2012, 09:53:38 PM »

This is just a heads-up to lt you all know that from Sunday night (GMT) we will be transferring over www.hfminis.co.uk to a cloud server.

A couple of times in the last year we have had problems with our current server provider including just recently the old server 'died'.

This really isn't good with the amount of new ranges and new releases that are scheduled over the next few months, as a small company we can't afford the possibility of more downtime.  Investing in a cloud server for us is the logical thing to do especially with the pretty new website!

As soon as we have confirmed the actual timeframe for the move we will post it on the front page of the website.

Thanks for your patience, we really appreciate it.

Sweet.  But I hope this doesn't mean that 'Salome' is no longer in the works.  Already coming up with color schemes.

Do not worry young man, Salome will appear

Still very WIP but:

I need to finish the head, bulk up the tail and rear of the armour and add a power pack / wings (maybe?). He has a spear and will keep the existing rifle. I will be broadening the shoulders a little too.

Very innovative!  Interested to see how he turns out

As you can see from the pictures of Paige, she is covered up for decency sake but still cute and curvy.  I have all been doings some of the research for the next in the pin- up series, I have popped some images on Facebook but if you have any others let me know.  The next figure in this series is due at Easter.

I was supposed to get my PC back last week, I eventually got it back on Friday afternoon.  The motherboard was replaced and the operating system installed but all of my software, bookmarks etc were gone. The kids went back to school yesterday after half term however Luke did not go back until today.  Photoshop is now installed as is the FTP upload programmes.  Today i have been collating all of my bookmarks again which has involved tracking down all of my old urls that link to what I do one daily basis including accessing the website server, the image storage server, emails, advertising links and all control panels as well as coding the new 54 mm figure. I am all set to start organising the images tomorrow morning after a hospital appointment plus a run to the casters.  I hope to have them done as soon as possible, I am sorry for the delay which was completely beyond my control.

Really don't like them. They rub me up the wrong way for some reason, but I don't know why.

Maybe it's because they all look like they're fighting against a strong wind?   :scratchhead:

So instead of moving swiftly into position, you would rather they had been sculpted mincing along like a bunch of Morris Dancers?
Have you ever seen video of combat troops?

Aww be nice Frank...not all Morris dancers mince along...lol!

people who think that education should only be done at school and slow down not just their own childs progress but also that of others in the class by encouraging their child to challenge all of the rules and then when a teacher disciplines the child for dispruption the parents go to the school and get aggressive towards the teacher.

that pi**es me off

lots

Okay, here we go!

Closing date 1st October 2012.
Images need to be emailed to picturesAThasslefreeminiaturesDOTcoDOTuk by the end of that day.

Image specifications:
1: Max dimensions 72dpi. 800 pixels x 800 pixels.
2: Images should be a composite of one front shot, one back shot plus sideways from both sides.
3: The front shot should contain a ruler as a scale guide.
4: You need to say what category it is entered in

what would be nice but not compulsory is a brief explanation of where you see it fitting into the HF range and the reason you sculpted it including what you made it from etc.

Up to 2 weeks after the closing date we will publish all of the pics online and set up a facility for voting.

Do not send your figures over yet!
