Nice thoughts, beefcake.

Kudos to Andy for keeping it up for so long

His answer would be different from mine, I imagine. You decide ...

It was a roundabout with single lane exits and slow-moving, unpredictable traffic flow during rush hour. I was on it and filtering left. He then joined from the lane to the right of the one I had entered on and positioned himself in such a way that I was forced to give way. Hence my hand signal and a subsequent comment from him that if he hadn't done it, other traffic would have been blocked. He reckoned I was at fault and I was not daft enough to argue the toss.

4
Yes, indeed. Flashing blue lights and hand signals to pull over followed by a driving license/vehicle registration check plus a stern lecture  :tsk:

Giving a exponent of self-love salute, this evening, to a driver on a roundabout who turned out to be a copper in an unmarked police car :grrr:

General Ranting / Re: For those who went to Salute... How did it go?
« on: April 21, 2013, 11:43:15 AM »
I went and recognised you from your greatest hits on port/YouTube. You seemed pretty busy at the time, so I didn't heckle

Liked: being out with the boys with no ladies to keep us in line for a change; meeting up with some (over)familiar Frothers, the chaps from Otherworld and an old buddy from way back on the 4ground stand;  sitting in the glorious sunshine and chewing the fat over a pint or two outside The Fox; pointing out that my mate, Hugh the Hitchin plumber, is a dead ringer for Andy; supper in Whitechapel.

Purchases: the new Heresy gangers; Asterix pirates and Britons from the bring & buy; lamb chops, dry meat curry and a tandoori roti at Tayyabs (which is well worth visiting if you're ever in that part of London).

I'll happily chuck my hat into the goblin-sculpting ring, how do i enter?
Well played, sir! You did some great Orc brawlers a while back, didn't you? More like that would be great.

Utter bar stewards. Let's hope that Kev gets fixed up quick and that karma catches up with those scumbags sooner rather than later.

Looks like a trooper from Elwing's Elven Guard which was one of GW's old regiment of renown boxed sets.

Has community died?

No, I don't think so. In any community there are, and have always been, doers and followers. Problems arise when either type of people simply don't bother anymore.

I'm having the same issue at my wargames club. Previously, I've been quite active in organising campaigns and special events which have always been well received. Sadly, very few others are willing to go to the effort to do similar things. My last attempt to get a short, fun campaign off the ground - with no hassle for the players as I'll do all the work and they've already got all the kit - fell flat on its face. No response. This was the final straw and I decided not to bother in future.

Hardly surprising as she's inappropriately dressed for Norfolk where the wind whistles off the North Sea. Maybe that explains the 'got to pee' pose?

That's a bit proactive. We should overthrow Doc and install you in his place.

Mongoose are still producing Judge Dredd based stuff
Well, Mongoose are part of the Rebellion Group of companies. As is 2000 AD (and its IP).

Did they ever get finished? I realy like the two leaning on eachother
The latter, I think, is Victoria & David who were released, but no longer seem to be available.

« on: May 31, 2012, 12:39:21 PM »
Got to agree with everyone else and say start with season one and work your way through the rest. Once you have all of them, you can (1) rewatch them every year (2) pester Kev to sculpt your favourite characters

CS

P.S. "Once more with feeling" is a classic (unlike the Buffy movie).

Yeah, loads of on-site parking at Excel. Prices aren't too bad either. Around a 10 for a car, IIRC.

I've got limited experience with plastic though some old GW shields have cleaned up OK. Sometimes a little soft when you fish them out of the Dettol though they harden up again after a bit. You might get a little discolouration, but that shouldn't matter if you're repainting anyway.

Do you reckon this would get rid of varnish as well???
Yes, it should. Never had any problems with stripping varnished figures myself.

i went in to say 'goodnight' to Luke this evening and whilst settling him for his story he said " you are a beautiful mummy and i love you very much"

Bow to the master :notworthy:

Never works for me when I roll in steaming though, to be frank, I never used it on my mum

Libertee's Miscellaneous Musings II / What's wrong with these people?
« on: December 19, 2011, 12:58:54 PM »
Received this in an email, to my work address, from I company that I occasionally buy clothes from:

My immediate reaction:
  • I can't believe companies actually send this sort of thing out in this day and age
  • That blonde is clearly no operator1
  • I bet this would be right up Kev's dark, dank street

How would you have reacted?

1No way is she getting her hands on my weapon unless someone competent has cleared it first
