Suggestions (HF) / Re: Superheros
« on: August 28, 2014, 04:56:48 PM »
I'd like to see 'not' characters from the latest version of Street Fighter IV. The women are lithe, the men are mostly muscley and powerful, and their amazing moves practically qualify them as superheroes already. Some of them would do just fine as street-level or martial artist supers.

If that's what I think you mean (Hit-Girl), there are one or two already floating around.

Libertee's Miscellaneous Musings II / Re: Things that make you happy
« on: June 23, 2013, 01:09:33 PM »
Just got through watching this: Hidden Horrors of the Moon Landings

At the end, I sat there contemplating for a moment, and I realized that one thing that would make me very happy would be to go up to each and every Moon-landing-hoax nut in the world and punch them right in the face.

I know we get a lot of folks with different opinions here, and I don't like to go out of my way to hurt peoples' feelings, so if you happen to believe that the moon landings were faked, I am truly sorry, but you're just going to have to punch yourself.

I 'like' this post.

That's good news. I've had cats all my life, so I know the worry of cats going missing.

I like it. Though with the pouches and clothes she's wearing she appears to be some kind of soldier, so I expected her to be carrying a gun. She looks dangerous either way though.

The weapon in her left hand - is it meant to be that way round? As kukris cut with the inner edge.

A Grymn Walker walks into a bar. The barman asks "Why the long face?"

He still notices the superb painting on it, though.

I know I'm just repeating what everyone has said, but this is bloody beautiful.

Looking at those pictures, I can really see the detail in the sculpt - and the quality of the paint job. They are both amazing.

Other Mini's, RPGS, Etc / Kickstarter - Battle for Alabaster
« on: May 26, 2012, 07:40:37 PM »
So Studio McVey have jumped on Kickstarter, to get their new board game funded. Fifty plastic miniatures, board, tokens. The figures look really good.
It achieved funding in only six hours, and it's already hit its first stretch goal too.

I picked my name purely by chance, I thought it was a meaningless group of letters. I was surprised to find when I googled it that it actually means supreme being. I should be so lucky.

Questions and Answers / Re: Indoor sculpted bases?

Geronimo, I went to your webshop (following Ink's link). I found that when it's displaying items in grid mode, they are cut off mid-picture on the right side, and the layout generally looks broken. That is on both Opera and IE. On Opera, scrolling down also keeps on returning to the top of the page.

I'm painting going to paint a 'corporate assassin', so what I really wanted was some modern-day indoor floors, like that of an office building or even a warehouse. Of course the problem is that a modern floor is basically just a flat surface... I wanted a little sense of place, but I have no skill to build anything diorama-y.
