Suggestions (HF) / A Modest suggestion.
« on: November 06, 2015, 06:41:08 PM »
Given the recent espionage themed figures, how about Modesty Blaise and her sidekick Willie Garvin? For us fans of the Laundry series, they'd do nicely as Persephone Hazard and Johnny McTavish as well.

Doctor Who / Capaldi's Costume.

Other Mini's, RPGS, Etc / Aliens Vs. Predator
« on: October 27, 2013, 08:49:01 PM »
As the name suggests, Prodos Games is doing a miniatures game set in the universe of Aliens, Predators, and the USMC. Few details at this stage, but some early pictures on the facebook page.

Suggestions (HF) / Zombie Albert.
« on: July 22, 2013, 12:52:03 AM »
I've been listening to 'The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing' rather a lot recently (steampunk band named after a bit of graffiti scrawled next to one of Jack The Ripper's victims. Deal with it). One track could provide inspiration for an interesting, if perhaps rather niche, figure. A zombie Prince Albert, of course. Maybe with a voodoo practising Queen Victoria.

Ideas for New Heresy Models / She's a total bi--- , I mean witch.

I couldn't find any earlier suggestions for this, so I thought I'd through it out there.
The title character from the ludicrously over the top, mad-as-a-box-of-frogs-in-a-crack-factory, love it or hate it game Bayonetta.

Yes, those are guns on her shoes. So she can shoot you in the face at the same time she kicks you in the face.

Doctor Who / Spoiler about the new series.

It has long been rumoured, and now confirmed by the BBC, that an old enemy not seen for many a year is to make their return. The Ice Warriors will feature in an upcoming story penned by Mark Gatiss, and featuring David Warner.

Doctor Who / 50th Anniversary Special In 3D.
« on: February 11, 2013, 10:50:27 PM »
The BBC have announced that this years 50th anniversary special will be in 3D. For those without 3D TVs, it will be shown at cinemas in that format, both in Britain and worldwide.

Movies/TV/Music Zone / Aliens Technical Manual
« on: December 02, 2012, 06:13:47 PM »
I seem to recall many moons ago a lot of people wanting to get hold of the Aliens Colonial Marines Technical Manual. At the time it was out of print and only available for stupid money. As a tie in with the A:CM game it has been revised and reprinted.

What changes there are from the original I don't know, but it'd be interesting to find out.

Information / Change's to Sally's e-mail address?
« on: November 12, 2012, 05:03:07 PM »
Sally, have you changed your e-mail address recently? I've tried e-mailing you a couple of times now, to see how much (if any) HF credit I have left, but no reply.
I'm hoping it's a change of address, as I have self esteem issues and would hate to think you are ignoring me.  :blub:

Movies/TV/Music Zone / Cockneys Vs Zombies.

This might be good, this might be bad, but now I want a mini of Richard Briers with a zimmer frame and Uzi.

Other Mini's, RPGS, Etc / Grekwood Miniatures.
« on: May 15, 2012, 12:33:21 PM »
I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned before, but as I can find no reference elsewhere I'll bring it up.

Carl Sutherwood, brother of the much missed Gareth 'Grekwood' Sutherwood, has started his own miniatures business. It is named in Gareth's memory. So far there's only a small range (mainly zombies), but they may be of interest to FoDers.

I've got the two zombie doctor sets. They are a bit flat in pose, which is understandable given that these are Carl's first professional sculpts. Otherwise, IMHO, they're good value at less than a tenner for a pack of four.

Have a look, see what you think.

Movies/TV/Music Zone / Dredd movie is green lit!
« on: December 21, 2008, 12:13:57 AM »
Ladies, gentlemen, and Gronks, it has now been announced that production on a Judge Dredd movie will go ahead next year. Hopefully the first person to suggest Dredd removes his helmet will receive a daystick where the sun don't shine .
