General Ranting / Re: For those who went to Salute... How did it go?
« on: April 24, 2013, 11:06:24 AM »
In between demo'ing Warmachine / Hordes over at the Waylands stand,

spent money on Heresy Figures, some stuff from Artemis Black, Anvil Industry and Statuesque Miniatures, along with my first gangs for Malifaux. Great deal of fun, either if I didn't have time to actually introduce myself to andy at Heresy or the guys at HF.

My g/f as Vasovagal syncope, basically she can faint without any real warning. On friday she fainted getting out of bed in the evening and smashed into the metal frame, and when she came round had zero feeling in either of her legs. Phoned ambulance and spent the next 4 hours waiting for the doc's to tell us hour serious it was. Lucky it was nerve shock rather than damage, and one leg came back to usable in about 2 and a bit hours the other one still wasn't right as we left the hospital at 5 in the morning, she could walk on it but it hurt a lot. Scariest 4 hours of my life waiting for xrays to make sure her spine hadn't been damage etc.

Hard drives frying is a pain.
Mother boards frying is a simple swap. No need at all to uninstall anything! Odd...

As long as it was replaced with same motherboard then nope there wouldn't be. But guessing it be a different model board and 9 times out of 10 you would end up having to reinstall.

I have order a dragon, hell I either paid full price for it either though i was on the pre-order, and I sure it will be worth every penny I paid for it, Will find out on Saturday when my sister drops her onto my desk to put together. As for KS for the plastics if its plastics I am interested in I will be putting money in for sure, probably troopers over skeletons, but will look when it comes.

Ouch, and thats the reason I recommend pay as you go for teenagers. Seriously I seen bills like that from teenagers a lot, just from text and phone.

Slowly the numbers go up. Sounds like a good plan on the removal of the wings from torso.

Use Coal black from PP (which is a very dark bluey black) then a small amount of ivory mixed in. often using a wash to reducing colour if I feel its required.

Andy occasionally will buy the odd figure from scupltors but I very much doubt he's looking for anyone peranmently.

Not good. This bloody Dragon might be the end of us all at this right.

Have to agree with the others, I thankful you gave the warning. Working in an open planned office with 40 odd other people, I would prefer not to have semi-nude ladies come up on my screen. I am the Network Manager, have to have some standards :).
