General Ranting / Hi again advice needed
« on: January 20, 2012, 10:45:54 PM »
hi there all,

i've rediscovered my account on here and started lurking again.  lots of things have happened since i last properly posted on here.

major thing was i developed carpal tunnel syndrome and started to lose the use of my right hand.  i had surgery last week and stictches come out next week.  during the time off work i have been rediscovering miniatures and the FOD.

i have a few minis left and was thinking about painting again.  my hand hurts post surgery but is getting better.  its not so dextrous and i'm not allowed to do owt that put pressure on the scar.   how long do you think i should give it before i re-start painting?

anybody have any experience of this as i am getting bored..can hold a paintbrush but cant apply any pressure and dont want to fudge up my recovery

answers please

Suggestions (HF) / suggestion for the web shop
« on: January 17, 2012, 10:55:26 PM »
Hi Sally and Kev,

it's been an age since i posted on here.  visited the web shop and got a bit confused by it.  why are you listing the prices of the minis as  £xxx + VAT  ??

as a suggestion please list the price us people in the UK would pay for the mini with all the VAT included.  on the cart page you can then breakdown what the price is without VAT added (as per your LTD company regulations)

in its present state i have problems working out how much i am spending without a calculator nearby.  people (myself included) are lazy and may be put off by not knowing the cost of a small potential order.

for example:  http://www.sourcebmx.com/product/bmx-racing-products/bmx-racing-frames/intense/intense-podium-09-mini/6285.shtml

hope this helps

my thoughts are with all you guys in Oz

what is royally pisssing me off is the fact that i seem to be losing all coordination and fine motor skills with the medicines i have to take to stop me becoming very upset and doing bad things to myself.

it really is very frustrating knowing how to do something but not being able to do it anymore

1:  painter

2:   28

3:  male

4:   Looking for cute chicks and something nobody else makes

5:   UK

6:   prefer manufacturer

7: how long bought HF?.....  4 yrs+

8:   Found through recommendation

9:  Anything we could do better ......work on the standard male miniatures. anything you think we are doing drastically wrong.....not promoting painted versions enough    what you think we do so well that makes us better than anyone else? you produce the most aestheically pleasing female minis

10: Any other comments?  yes......i'd like to see more of the random 'Sally told me i need to sculpt another warrior babe' type miniatures, nothing too serious.

when you feel so angry with somebody you love and have to be around them everyday for daily life to continue.

medication that helps you survive the daily grind and have a really beneficial effect, but then starts to do weird things to you that get you into trouble

(i get up a 6:30am  and my son makes sure my sleep is very well disturbed)

i am zombified at work, and worn out at home, and yelled at by the missus for being home sooo late.

debt companies that give you cases to pursue through the courts but provide you with none of the relevant info to base a legal case on.

i have to spend x amount of time drafting up their evidence and then have it pulled to pieces when i find that either :

1. none of their evidence exists

or

2. it wasn't what they said but they tell me they've already provided me with exactly what happened 9which they clearly haven't because i keep probing for answers on it!)

well done to the winners and the people who were just pipped at the post.

i really wanted to do something special for this comp but ended up turning in a rushed entry at the last minute. i'm glad what i had achieved with so little and that others liked it. overall i was pleased that i didnt win because i can see the huge amount of time and effort that went into most of the other entries.

well done everybody. with a little better organisation we can turn this into something really cool  :yup:
