: Post-op progress slower than hoped.
: libertee February 13, 2013, 07:10:12 AM
Good morning everyone.

An infection in one of my wounds means my post-op recovery is a lot slower than i had hoped.  All i seem to be abel to do is sleep at every opportunity, coffeee and po-plus wont even keep me awake ( i have tried!)

Dameon is doing a fabulous job of keeping orders in/out and sorting out restocks and keeping HF ticking over and i am trying to grab a few minutes at the pc whenever i can. But the times i usually juggle in HF stuff (when the kids are at school and in the evenings when they go to bed) all i can physically do is go to bed and close my eyes.  I cant sit upright for longer than 15 minutes at the computer or even look at the screen or paperwork without my eyes blurring over.  The anti-biotics for the post-op infection have now kicked in so i can ditch some of the more 'hallucinogenic' painkillers which will hopefully make life a bit easier!

Sorry if this means you are waiting for me to do stuff, i know that everybody is being really patient with me.

Thanks lots for your patience, we all really appreciate it.

Sally :)

Take all the time you need. Health and family always come first.
I hope things start to get better for you.
Ay spare hallucinogenic pain killers

Just get well in your own time and don't fret about the other stuff.   :D

As someone that was diagnosed with ME many years ago and had a long slow recovery - don't over do it - focus on getting
better and well. Don't dose yourself with coffee and proplus - your body is telling you that you still need rest and are still healing.

Don't push yourself too hard, too fast, take your time and just get well and better, it's a long road with ME and as long as HF is running
ok and people are understanding and helping there is nothing for you to worry about - easier said than done I know!!

I will also add my best wishes for you but please try to remember you are already helping HF with the household and children side of things
and that in itself is commendable.

Love and wishes,
Steve - CrumbReaper

There's about six messages so far from people who replied directly to the announcement email (which thus comes to me) wishing you to rest the hell up and stop being daft, Sal. Thought I'd best pass it on. ;)

Rest, heal, get better and do take the time you need to properly recover- no use in trying to speed up things or do too much too soon, as being too impatient with yourself won't do you any good in the long term.

This, x1000. It's what I keep telling Jay at home after her recent op, but appreciate 100% the desire to just get on with stuff.

Ok, I'm not replying here with my good wishes for one simple reason.

Sally shouldn't be on here reading them. She should be resting!

As to the rest of you... Shame on you for making her read these heartfelt and touching messages of love and support. It's disgraceful.

PS get WELL Sally.

You take as much time off as needed, everything else can wait.

Oh, and if you've got any of those hallucinogenic painkillers going spare...

Get well soon.

And when you're feeling better, can you teach me the spell so I can summon a Dameon to do my work for me?

Half term next week?

Kev - time to take some days off and look after the kids... a couple of hours on evenings might be do-able if you want to work yourself into a sick bed too.

I would like to advise the whole family to take things easy, and wish Sally a speedy recovery.

Get well soon, Sally. The power of Sooty compels you.

I have beseeched him to watch over you and protect you. Which he will.

("What's that, Sooty?")

And he won't hit you with a hammer or squirt you with a water pistol. Well, probably not.
