i know this is a lot to ask but is there any chance of doing a wip as you sculpt your next set of guns?

Step 1: Find a photo of the gun you want to copy.

Step 2: Find out how long it would be in 28mm.

Step 3: Form a piece of putty on a bit of brass rod in the rough shape of the gun you want to make and let it set.

Step 4: Perfect the silhouette of the gun with a very sharp scalpel and files.

Step 5: Sculpt one side of the gun and let it set.

Step 6: Sculpt the other side and let it set.

Step 7: Tidy everything up and sculpt the bits that you missed off.
thats enough......for now!

thanks

Kev is probably doing a bit of freelancing for Wyrd Miniatures. I'd love to know which models he's done so far.

Personally, I'd love to 'find' a list of mini's Kev has sculpted for any other companies....

we tried to do that a while ago but the problem is my hubby has put it around so much over the years he can't remember everything he has done...........
A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather & ask for it back when it starts to rain.

most mornings i wake up grumpy.   sometimes i just let him sleep.

my life consists of brief snatched moments of living my life hidden deep among chaos, confusion& the  going crazy, every night i go to sleep filled with hope & enthusiasm for the new day coming.  then i wake up & think "here I go again" & just aim to survive.

Well, I was going to ask for some more handguns to be made, and I even found this in my “cool’ idea album, but I might try to sculpt some myself..

Yeah, I like 15 and 20-22, especially.

Have you got more work posted online?  Or another collection in this style?

Not my art work, try http://www.deviantart.com , there are a lot of ideas and good stuff there.  The artist name and date are still on the bottom of the picture.  I save a lot of pictures for ideas, or really anything that strikes my fancy, but I’m still respectful of an artist copyright.

Deviant art is a great resource and has a lot of tutorials for artist.  Since, I have been trying to develop my doodling into real art as well as scratch building into sculpting, my perspective has changed.  You look at things differently, paying attention to little details, proportions and the like.

I’m currently building a Traveller ship from the White Dwarf 70 as a little project.  It’s a  great set of plans and I just could not help myself.

I'd like to see Kev's take on Girls 'n' Guns ... especially one with a P90.
