It's funny how new tech keeps turning up in a universe where technology is an ancient, barely understood lost art form, but hey.  Little things like background can't keep a company like GW from releasing new models.

Ha ha! I never really thought about it before. I guess you can just chalk it up to the enormity of the Imperium and the rate at which information disseminates: "You guys are just *now* putting seismic hammers on your dreadnoughts? Dude, we've been using them for millenia!"

Also, Bulldog is awesome.

siesmic hammers were mentioned in the origanal "seige " rules , and possibly a throwaway line in the origanal RT rules, GW have just got round to recycling them, one of the old Robot models used to have a combat hammer arm option if menory serves me correctly.
a happy dauber

Finally added that missing piece to the Crimson armoury. This one was an ebay cheapy and boy was it a horror. Those stowage parts are not for show, they are covering a 5mm gap either side where the model was asembled incorrectly, also had to bodge together a couple of headlights from spare searchlights from the bits box. Maybe you cannot polish a turd but you can certainly roll it in glitter  ;)

Rest of the Crimsons here The Crimsons!!! few pics below of the Vindy

Admit it, you've got a gang of paint slaves hostage in your cellar!
I cannot for the life of me see the logic in having your ammo strapped to the back of your vehicle - BOOM! :silly
Good paint job, though (as always).

Wasn't a tamiya set Dragon but some other brand of WWII 1/35 scale stowage, just do an ebay search, brings loads up

Wildheart if your talking about the shell? It wasn't (or isn't supposed to be) strapped to the back, I think it's just GW's attempt at a loading winch similar to the real steel WWII Sturmtiger and similar assault guns, so in effect it's shown sort of mid-use? adds a nice contrast to the dark blue in a purely aesthetic sense though even if as you say it's just tempting fate, even without a premature explosion some poor space marine is bound to bump his noggin stormtrooper style while nippin out the back for a quick leak!

If your talking about the crates it's fine. They are full of SPAM!

Raider number 7! Figured pointless starting a new thread just for a raider so I will plug it on the end of this thread, probably serve with the CU's at some point.

Best thing about this one is it starting as a wreck I picked up for a tenner!

Amazing what a night in dettol, a few FW parts and a splash of paint can do!

I got this ages ago with intentions of scratching up a Legion raider then suddenly the Sun came out when I was about to paint it and it became Happy yellow, guess the Imperials dropped lucky, they got an unexpected ride!

Here is the sad example of how cruel people can be....

Even the big man has to stop for  a pee break every now and then

Pulled a bargain dread from ebay the other day for no particular reason other than it was cheap! Anyhow, figuring the Crimsons have their fare share of lumbering metal mayhem I decided to paint it up in the banana livery and add it to the ranks of the Imperial fists.

With every bargain the Banana men grow more powerful!!!

Recently bought the Aegis defense line for the Autocannons to use on a Grey Knight DN, I absolutely hate wasting stuff so was at odds on what to use the remaining bases for, suddenly after seeing a toy 'Wall-E' in the local pound shop it struck me....classic Dawn of War objective markers! Have always liked the look of these things, the way those dishes stick out at random angles just looks funky

With the aid of said toy, a few spare flying bases and a couple of bits from the parts box I came up with these simple offerings, great thing is I took the time to make casts so I have a unlimited supply of listening post objectives now...yay!

Of course interaction is the key to a fun game in my eyes so I decided to magnetize the weapons so for instance a tech could hang around for a turn and upgrade the passive version to a fully automated defensive death dealing Imperial outpost!

Passive version ready for any spare weapons I have knocking around!

This chaps been mocking me in it's unpainted form for ages now so I finally decided to punish it with the a little paint!

Figured some nice bright colours are always welcome so it became a Banana boat for the Imperial Bananas

Turning into quite a nice little assault force really!
