I thinkl there are far more useless but brilliant poses in terms of wargaming than there are good useful ones. Weeing, humping, sniffing, chewing a ball/skull, play dead, cowering fetching the stick are all great but no-one would buy them in quantity! Sadly, I seem to be stuck with finding a realistic running pose (Boy those current GW ones are weird. They look...happy...?! Tails up in the air, etc...)
I've taken a little break away from the Hounds for the last two days whilst I'vee wrestled with the concept of PHP shops. I chopped the heads off the two I've got and discovered that my dreams of having six entirely interchangeable heads to suit all hellhounds are just that - Bat-head stands no chance of a good fit with Scoobthulu-Head's neck, if he doesn't also have a collar. So I'm going to have to make five hellhounds, then convert each and every head four more times to fit, if they don't all have collars. If they do all have collars, then I can make the heads interchangeable almost easily. Having learned this, I decided to take a break for a day or two and rebuild my love for them. (And prevent myself from sculpting a Dark lord wielding a rolled-up newspaper shouting 'Who did that? Who did that on the floor? Bad hell hound! Bad! to go with the cowering one tht started out supposed to be a running one...couldn't get the legs right due to the short ones at the back...)
