Here's a pic of the house I just purchased (my first) a month ago (before it snowed).

Congrats on the first house  8)

I'm on the other side of the pond in New York for any US FODers. I have met Agentmolar (who lives in Australia) thanks to the forum

Looks like im the closest to you when im at home in Canada (Saintjohn N.B.) by about 10 hours :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Depends on which part of NY he's in. I can get to where my folks live (Rochester NY) in about 10 hours (630 miles, so about 1000km for the metric people). Eastern NY adds a few more hours.

I used to think it was a terrible thing that life was so unfair. Then I thought, 'what if life *were* fair, and all of the terrible things that happen to us came because we really deserved them?' Now I take great comfort in the general unfairness and hostility of the universe - Marcus Cole (Babylon 5)

Me... LS28 Pudsey

In the dim & distant past I lived in Ilkley and went to school in Pudsey. Truly horrible place

Thankfully, I have now returned to civilisation in the home counties (SG5) after a brief foray into the wilds of Lancashire.

Well as I was born and dragged up in SG6.. it looks like we swapped.

Ilkley and school in Pudsey?... that must be that school beginning with M then

Acutally, I remembered your country of origin from a different thread :D  Or maybe a different forum :) And from there it was just a quick trip to the Postur website.

Of course, the Islenska was a bit hard, but I just dug out my book of Old Norse and struggled for a while ... until I noticed the little Union Flag icon ;)

Letchworth? You're well out, mate. Still, Letchworth does have a couple of pubs these days so, at least visitors don't have to face it sober.

No, it was Fulneck Boys' School. Not as posh as it sounds.

Yep thats the one, The dry town until 1973

But the three horsehoes at Norton was within walking distance of my school

I left in the mid 80's, and everytime I went back it got worse, my sister moved to Hertford/Ware area, my parents moved to Lower Stondon until my Mum died a year and a half ago.

Omaha, Nebraska, USA.

Closest game shop is called Dragon's Lair.  There's a pair of them, and they're mostly comic shops, but they have gaming events on various days during the week.  There isn't a GW store within 250 miles on my home, but from what I hear, that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Lawford Lads???? We used to play Lawford but not sure if they were known as the 'Lads'....... too long ago for me to remember

When I were a nipper I played for Tiptree Minors and Tiptree Colts. Later on I moved up to the senior teams: Tiptree Heath, Anchor Press, and Tiptree Utd......... mind you, that was when I was younger, fitter and thinner LOL  :lalala:

 I'm not that far away!

3135 Heathmont, Melbourne. Heathmont is a reasonably nice suburb with lots of trees. About 35 minutes on the train into the Melbourne CBD, where I work and do my offline mini shopping at Mind Games. There are a few GWs around, but I don't see the need for them much these days. Most off my mini money is spent online and goes OS to the UK and to France (although that's likely to stop  :tears: ). ...also a bit to Spain, Italy and Germany lately.
Heron Island photos done! See blog...

Another in the US, I'm in the tundra of the Twin Cities area, Minnesota.  South east suburbs, 55122 to be exact.  We have a foot of snow on the ground, and havent seen a day above freezing for three weeks or so.

I used to live PO1 Fratton, about 5 minutes walk from Fratton Park ( Football ground ) and also Paulsgrove which is very close to Portchester.  I used to walk along the coast with the dogs starting at Portchester Castle and frowning at the louts at Port Solent.
For nearly thirty years before Portchester, I lived just down the road from Fratton (Canterbury Road, between Haslemere and St Augustine Roads). Are you from the Portsmouth area originally?

I bought my first ever non-GW mini in Lille, when I did a French exchange, a Ral Parth Giant :)  Thanks for the good memory, Christian :D

Now, I really must get around to assembling and painting him!
