Ordering miniatures from a company I'd not normally order from, especially for a WWI school project that my son is doing...and the miniatures not turning up after two weeks!

I tell you what, it is very easy to get complacent with the excellent service that the FoD companies provide...it really is.

EDIT- I contacted Renegade (the company I ordered the minis from) and got a very prompt apology for the delay but they were run ragged by a sale that they were running due to not anticipating the response.  From what I understand, Renegade are usually very good with sending out parcels...so please don't take this as a dig at Renegade Miniatures.

Asking a question on a forum and having a load of responses not to the question I asked but to the one people thing I asked because they didn't read the post properly.

Not only that but the responses are often dismissive or patronising, and when i try and point out the real question the respondednt s start to argue that i'm asking he wrong question.

What's with that?

I'm not happy about not sleeping :(.  I'm going to have to go back to the doctor's and get sorted with some tablets or something...I am dead on my feet at the moment...I don't like going to the doctor's about it because they keep trying to send me on stress management courses (which are away from home...which would stress me out due to my wife being poorly at the moment).  It isn't stress keeping me awake...it's ideas...

BUT on the bright side...I am currently as mad as a box of frogs!  So all this sleep deprivation is extremely entertaining for everyone at work :(.

I had to read that three times before I understood it ;)

I think the recent trend for September/October is 'off topic posts'...it is annoying but what can you do except try and drag it back on topic with a resigned air.

It wasn't so much off topic posts that were getting to me it was people who i think were TRYING to be helpful, but completely missed the point of the threads because they hadn't read them!

And i'm not suggesting this is only the FoD - its worse elsewhere IMO.

Parents who insist on sending their children to school with colds etc. on my bus, resulting in me having a cold and cough all half-term week :tantrum: thus preventing me doing as much as I'd have liked.
On the plus side, I've got my wireless broadband up and running today and started using my new laptop online.

...or bidding on a lot of items with no expectation of winning them...only to win them all and discover that you have spent over 125-00 on model kits without taking into account postage and the fact that you didn't read the payment note properly; leading to a 12-00 extra payment for the use of Western Union...

That was my first use of E-bay and I have learned a lot since then !

Having to see a financial advisor at the bank for an hour just to open a new current account - only I would have if she hadn't rung in sick. They apologised and said they had tried to reach me  - funny that,  I left my house at 9.10 and was stood in the branch at 9.25  for a 9.30 appointment.............. :grrr:
It doesn't help that last night was shift number 10 in a row as the person who covers the two nights when I'm not there isn't well -she is quite ill involving hospital visits so I'm not angry with her it's just this is the second time in the last six months this has happened - you would have thought somebody could organise some cover instead of relying on me all the damned time !  :tantrum:
Heaven doesn't want me. Hell is afraid i will take over !

Interviewing for a job that you are perfectly qualified and experienced to do, only to find that the job has gone to the "Temp*" who was doing it anyway, as it was company policy to advertise all vacancies.  :grrr:

I think the world is trying to tell you to be a temp first so that you can p*ss someone else off by getting the job when it goes up for grabs.
Good luck for future job hunting though!

I'd agree. Working with kids with sociopsychological difficulties I've discovered they ALLWAYS turn up. They turn up to swear at us, to throw things at us, to abuse themselves, their classmates and schoolstaff in all manners possible BUT they are very rarely away from school. It's one of the few safe havens in their messed up lives so they still allways turn up in lack of better alternatives despite the fact that they hate school to.
