Some how I imagine you seeing them in its doody, or poking out of its bum

Something along those lines.  It'd be too weird to explain in detail.

Not sure I'd class bacteria as an animal; but probably not a debate for here.

Yup, they're outside of animalia, in one, two, or even three kingdoms of their own.

Quote
spent a large part of my last year at university studying them

I had a couple of modules on them during my course, but it didn't make me feel much better to learn all the myriad gross ways they can maim, torture, or just plain kill you.  Also didn't help to have one lecturer who displayed a sadistic streak in his powerpoint slideshows, and another with one or two anecdotes about using himself as a test subject.

Quiz shows: you been watching Deal or No Deal?
I can't say I'd call DonD a quiz show - to be honest, it's about on a level with betting on who draws the highest card from the pack, you or the dealer. Along with endless 'suspensful' muzak, and Noel Edmonds(which is reason enough for me not to watch it).

As far as gross parasitic diseases go(and horrible slides), I don't think I could top mucosal Leishmaniasis. Not as nasty in terms of mortality as visceral Leishmaniasis, but I wouldn't like to live my life with a face like Skeletor.

Sorry, just meant as in being alive. I'm not all there most of the time.

Here's another thing that I really dislike: The Postal "Service". It makes me down-right postal, if you catch my snow-drift.

walking into a pub and being told one of your friends died months ago, just no one got around to telling you at the time, oh well one more trip to the graveyard

The way advertising is being squeezed into every possible nook and cranny.
Some examples -
I ducked out in the car last night and the football was on the radio, the commentory went something like this.
Thats a great kick for goal, platinum blonde, but its gone through for a behind, Triple M, the balls back inplay, sgic insurance, and its travelling down the mid field, Kentucky fried chicken. The score on the triple m platinum blonde sgic insurance scoreoard is. It just went on and on and on.
There were probably other things being advertised as well but I couldnt take it and turned the radio off before I peirced my ear drums with the pen in the console.
Platinum Blonde is a beer and triple m is the radio station I was tuned to.

A funny home video show where the host mentions the sponsors every 2 minutes, then before every add break they have an in show add for the sponsors.

The other thing is the news show that tells sports stories in the news section and then repeats them in the sport section.

My daughter went to the tivoli yesterday with a friend. She's got a bit of a cosplayer style. She ended up having to flee because a gang of some thirty brats wanted to beat her to death because of her clothes. Makes me mad, and brings up memories from my own teenage days.

That really is infuriating, disgusting, and rather saddening... Reminds me of school in bad way   :grrr:
Some people are just pathetic. Hope she's okay?
Oh and whats a Tivoli?
Its "I couldn't care less"  :tantrum:

He. Fun park? You now carousels and stuff? She had "the best day of her life" anyway (direct quote). Fifty "Gothic lolitas" meeting up and going to the funpark together. Made loads of new friends  Just the way I remember it. Being a punk in Stockholm back when I was young meant loads of friends and loads of running away from people wanting to trash you.

Guess the two sort of belong together  :huh?:

This also infuriates me beyond measure. I have a lot of alt culture friends who suffer from this kind of stuff.

On to my actual complaint for today now. I'm currently raging over navigating a horribly swish and counter intuitive flash based website to purchase something only to get onto the final confirmation of order to be told they won't ship to the UK. Aaaaarrrgggghhhh!!

Showing my ignorance what's a / cosplayer?

I think its really sad when kids do that sort of thing and it makes a lie of the big 'lets not conform to what anyone wants lets be different' crap they spout when adults want them to do something.

What grinds my gears literally is a so called 'professional' garage not talking straight and making it difficult for me to decide what to do with my broken car. A new but old fiesta whose gearbox broke just before an MOT. I've had it up to here in the last few years with scamming beggars of mechanics.( Thats not a slur on them all I know some very good ones ) I'd do the work myself if I had time. Also my annoying little niece (12) who is turning into a little b**** who gives me (and everyone else )lip all the time and whose mother isn't inclined to do anything but give me grief!! I hope I'm not around in a few years. Still life is mainly positive eh.

People who just stop in front of me when I'm walking down a busy high street.   :x
Or those twits who talk in groups blocking the entrance to a shop, or even those freakwits that take up the ENTIRE pavement to have a freaking chat.    :grrr:

And there's me.  With a pushchair.  Trying to get somewhere I am not.   :swear:

(had a bad shopping day today, can you tell?)

It's made worse by the adults that ignore you and the kids giving attitude!   :tantrum:

I do.

I also am a postal carrier.  Trust me, the really really really good carriers (like myself) are 1 in a million.  Granted, its easiest to be the smartest in the room when working for that lot; but not all of them are terrible.

This is why I think I should be allowed to carry a chainsaw in shopping areas. I'm pretty sure that I'd never have to do more than rev it a little to have all the space I could want.

Yes.  Oh yes.

And, um, massive and slow pushchairs taking up the pavements and doorways too...

Drivers who think turn signals are something for other drivers (lesser drivers) to worry about.  Stop and sit at a junction or roundabout, waiting for that one driver to pass, and without warning they suddenly swerve off before crossing your intended path.  But that's an annoyance.  What's worse is when the person in front of you doesn't indicate.  Almost ran into the back of someone towing a trailer a couple of days ago, because he didn't feel the need to make sure his trailer's lights were hooked up.  It's a wonder there aren't more road accidents.

Join me in the excellent facebook goup "We who secretely want to hit slow walking people in the back of the head"

Worse thing is this: You go in the escalator with a babypram, in front of you is some old man who right when he's reached the end of the stairs STOPS to think about what to do next, blocking the entire ONLY way out!! :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum:
You have two choices: 1.Fall over all the people coming behind you or 2. Hitting the old geezer with your pram. None of them exactly the best of alternatives...

If they have to trot that line out, it's obvious they're devoid of actual right-ness-osity.

forgetting when your not on a wargames forum.......just been on a certain sci fi tv program forum....mostly females on there......several pictures of ianto holding a g36 have been posted.......they say ..."i like the photos of ianto with the big gun" ..automatic wargamer mode looks at the pictures and replies it's a HKg36  more photos were posted, this time of captain jack holding a strange semi automatic pistol.....automatic wargamer mode sets in and i  try to work out what gun it is and if the photo is a screenshot or a photo shopped publicity shot, whilst everyone else just posts......why does he change his gun? something must happen to his other one, where's his old gun? it went better with the old coat
