i doubt the cat approached the little boy and attacked, you can hardly blame the cat
the lil lad was 8 months old and sat in his own living room playing with his toys
who's cat was it? and how did it get in?
a bit extream at both ends, there are plenty of good cats out there, and plenty of misbehaved ones (read as: down right nasty lil vermin) ive owned both types, but ive never raised any from kittens as i tend to (or did tend to) gather in strays from all over at one point, the bad ones were almost always abused, so i tend to blame owners rather than animals. (yes i know there are exceptions)
for my 2 cents no animal should be left with a child unsupervised, period, as animals are all a bit unpredictable no matter how well behaved they seam, (and can you really really blame them? there not humans but they do have moods and feelings)
currently weve been looking into getting a dog for the kids, and my first though was a lab.... well the wife did a little seaching and it turns out that labs are just as bad for mauling kids as any other (shocked a bit about this actually) so now were looking into a dispos-o-pet like a guinnee pig or something till they are older or till i get a structure built to house a dog.
i guess ive wandered a bit in the writing, sorry.
