Yea! I win! .... or loose.  I guess it all depends on how you look at it.

Being rushed into brain tumor surgery and being told 4 days later that it's terminal.  Not immediately terminal, but terminal none the less.

Now that sucks!

 Bloody Hellfire! That's a bit much.

I assume you'll be trying to prove them wrong?

For as long and in as many ways as I can! Chemo/Rad shouldn't debilitate me, so I won't start heading downhill till the very end. And when that happens, it should be pretty quick.

Good. A positive mental attitude really can work miracles.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Not effective for this particular stage and brand of tumor. You can cut it out, but like the energizer bunny, it keeps going and going.

A 35 year old woman, studying at the most prestigious art school in Stockholm, pretended to be mentally ill, threatening to jump off a bridge. When some police officers took care of her she resisted violently, then she was brought to a hospital where she fought with the staff, spat on them and even tried to bite someone. But of course it was all a work of art according to her
Now she's facing charges, I hope she won't get off too easily...

I have often thought that if ever I had anything terminal I would put myself forward for any treatment no matter how way out - what would you have to loose at the end of the day? Like Kev said stay positive I know someone who has cancer who should have gone 2 years ago but like he says "I'm stubborn and well past my expiry date !"

@Chris Passeno...have you made a list yet of all the things you really wanted to do but never got around to?...Nows the time.

Good luck with everything you do and everything that challenges you.

As Inso said, best of luck Chris. Prove 'em wrong.

...makes the thing that's p***ing me off at the moment seem completely insignificant...

We're on our third 43 degree day in a row here in Melbourne (that's about 110 F). Last night it was 34C in my house when I went to bed with the doors and windows open. This morning the temp was still 30C in my house. Sleeping was a challenge.

Need air conditioning!  :faint:

Haven't thought of a 'bucket list' yet. That's a good idea.

We just got 12" of snow a day ago. Anyone wanna house swap with me?  No?  No? Why am I hearing cricket sounds?

43 degrees?  Is that warm or something?

...I remember...blah blah...60 degrees on the pan...blah blah...fixing helicopters in Iraq...etc...

;).

I found that it was better to be out in it all the time than to keep going from outside to aircon to outside to aircon all the time...I ended up with the sniffles :(...and my wubberly wife wasn't there to soothe my troubled brow...:(.

We are going for a record stretch of days above 40c here in Adelaide, last couple of days have been 45 -46. Over night we have been dropping to a cool low of 35.
They always take temperatures in the shade for some stupid reason, in my back yard it was 58c yesterday.

I have air con already but it is strugging to keep up, its alright early in the day but once the sun starts beating on the front of the house at lunch time things start to heat up.

The weather people say we will get some relief next week, for a couple of days we will have 38, then its back into the 40's right through next weekend.
To make things worse the power system cant keep up with the demand so its highly probable that the elecricity could go out anytime for a random period of time. Some people have been without power for 24 hours before it goes back on, only to have it go out again a few hours later.
