Don't you hate that! Our neighbours usually do that on the one fine day in the middle of a rainy spell when you finally get all the washing outside on the line, which then stink of smoke.
Exactly.

If you're in the uk, then smoke is a reportable hazard to the Enivronment agency. It doesn't have to be dangerous, they will look at the anti social elements as well as risk. Can be done completely anonymously if you are concerned about reprisals.

Thanks Brandlin. My neighbour did exactly that, the next morning and they said they would contact the landlord.
The other annoying thing is, the council came to collect a leather setter, armchair and the remaining laminate flooring from their garden the next morning! Obviously pre-arranged so why f**king burn anything anyway!!?!?! :tantrum:

I'm off to my happy place.......

When it rains it pours. Everyone in the household is sick with a hacking cough (two days of for me) The washing machine was destroyed and I nearly electrocuted myself with a dodgy light bulb fitting (getting a sparky in tomorrow ti fix it)  :tantrum:

not major compared to others  but
some time a go a I placed an order for 3 books from a game store......  a few months later I go back in ask a bought said order,  " oh sorry must of lost it, give it to use again well re order the one that's out and keep the other 2 as they appear"  so I remake said order and wonder off,  over the weekend a friend mentions that hes got a copy of one of the books id ordered,  great thinks me, they must have forgotten to phone to say mines in, and they'll have it put aside,  ill phone and see if there's any news on the render of the 1st and the release of the other.  so I call,  turns out that the fist book has gone to print on demand,  " were trying to get our supplier to get one"  and was like this from when they retook my order,  and the 2nd just released book is " we were short stocked" so they didn't keep one back for me....  so ive cancelled the order, and probably wont go back, and it looks like Amazon is where ill go for them,  unless anyone here knows where I can get the Cubicle7 Primeval companion, and the 4th Dr Who sourcebook.
a happy dauber

Have you tried Leisure Games? They seem to have both in stock, and you can get a free PDF version too:

http://www.leisuregames.com/acatalog/Primeval-Companion.html

http://www.leisuregames.com/acatalog/Doctor-Who-Fourth-Doctor-Sourcebook.html

I can't recommend them highly enough for customer service. Every time I've ordered from them, it's been a pleasure.

My experience differs.  I no longer do business with Leisure Games.  I am still waiting for an item I ordered from them in 2008.

Try Travelling Man in Leeds, York, Newcastle or Manchester. Next to no online presence but really helpful people. I got my Primeval Companion at the Leeds shop (and I think they still had one in stock 10 days or so ago). They should have the Dr Who one too (just make sure they don't sell you the one that should be saved for me!)

This was useful to me, too, because for some reason I thought the 4th Doctor Sourcebook wasn't out in print yet. And I'd been waiting for that before ordering. So you made me check up on it and find a pleasant surprise.

So that'll give me something to look forward to on pay day. I spent all my gaming money on Hasslefree this month. Which is no bad thing, to be fair.

Had great plans to get Netherlord 2 into primer, as well as a few other minis tonite.  Alas, I have been ravaged by Madame Ner'Gabba it seems.  Felt fine when I got to work, but as the day wore on, the assault began.  Now I feel quite unwell and think it may be unwise to be spraying paints in my current state. :blub:

Just sold a large bunch of minis I have no use for and one person that bought them gave me this email.

Quote
Hi Kieran!
Fortunately I got internet banking set up a few days ago, but until recently didn't have it.
Resisted it for ideological reasons.
Would have refused the $3 charge dealieo too but wouldn't have mentioned it
(and am only talking about it as I can afford to be candid). You may hairy-eyeball me for my honest confession, but I would claim that it wasn't a condition I'd agreed to and we'd wind up with a problem.
All of this is irrelevant (as long as my e-banking still works, Ill try to confirm within 24hrs) but just a reasonable argument that perhaps you shouldn't tolerate such banking practices, Im with 2 banks neither of which impose such charges.
Ill re-send my address after payment, thanks for the trade Kieran
hope to talk to you soon!

What sort of d!€khead email is that! It clearly stated on the auction

Quote
Internet banking only please or $3 extra charge due to bank fees.
Check out my other listings I have A LOT for sale and would prefer to send out bulk lots.
And he thinks that just by not telling me he would have gotten away with it. Funnily enough bank transactions over the counter look vey different to internet ones so I would have picked it up easily, and refused to send the goods until it was righted. Why even send the email of you aren't doing it what a F'in a$$. RANT OVER  :tantrum:

Getting a call this afternoon to tell me that 5 weeks after being offered a PERFECT job, and being messed about by both the head hunter and the employer, they have made an offer to someone else.

pissing about with people's livelihoods is out of order!

back to the drawing board and potentially an unemployed Christmas.

Thanks a lot!

Me back.  Over worked myself today.  Removed a front door and put in a new one.  Now, I am a hurting unit.

It's nice to see that no body has used this thread in some time, but I must.

So.

The Canadian dollar.  Or at least how badly it's doing compared with the US dollar and the  £.  I wanted to pick up a couple things but something that costs £6.25 will cost me $12.47 before shipping.

Hopefully the dollar comes back up before my Heresy KS stuff is ready to ship.  Otherwise I may get raked over the coals on shipping.

Oh well what happens, happens.  Venting over.  Have a nice day.

I hear ya. Same thing with the NZ dollar although it's not too bad vs the Aus $ at the moment. Pity all the good minis come from either UK or USA

Threadomancy! Things that really pi** off cancer the big flaming C. It killed my granddad, my aunt and last year it nearly killed my dad he had to have part of his bowel removed as well as his appendix and some other bits. He's been given the all clear however he had a dna test done turns out he has a defective gene which causes cancer. Bad news for us is it means we all need to be tested for it if we have it then the chances of getting the same cancer is 50% without it 16% which is still 10% higher than most because of it having hit three other family members. Scared ruddy stiff.

Every single member of my family on my dads side has the defective gene three have had cancer this year. We all got together yesterday to talk about our options. My aunt is devastated she has 16 children and they all have the gene she blames herself, my other aunt has had polyps removed they caught them early she's going to get her two children tested as well. They have arranged counselling for all of us.Kind of feels like someones played a cruel trick on us.
