I seem to have dislocated a toe.

The pain meds are only somewhat helping.

Thank you beefcake. I think the toe had already clicked back in place, and now there's little pain and the swelling is largely gone! :D

I go back to work tomorrow, and it would be most embarrassing to take a sick day on my first day back.

I'd still see some one to make sure it went back in properly. But yes it would be embarrassing.

That aweful period, when you've just finished your latest mini project, and you feel overwhelmed by the lead pile that is crying for love.  With no idea of what to do next, but you have a shelf full of minis in various states of assembly/already in primer staring at you every time you sit down.  Sort of like staring at an avalanche frozen in time, terrifying but so cool.  I think I will focus on just doing some 'single mini on a small base' projects for a while.  Even though I have a squad to add to the Cult of Inevitable Decay sitting on the table with three left to clean and assemble.  They get worked on while paint dries though.

Real world stuff that irks me today though was a forklift/lift-truck, what ever you like to call it, that I had spent the past eight days overhauling, decided that it was no longer going to start, the day after I put it back into service.  What really bugged me was that I had touched no part of the electrical system at all, besides removing the battery.  Then I wasted time changing the starter, when I was sure it wasn't the issue.  Off to the side in my mind I said "I bet it's that stupid relay right there.  It dies every few years."  So I smacked it with a wrench, turned the key, which previously had no result other than the beacon light flashing like it should, and off it went, starting beautifully.  So off I went to the parts store to rustle up a new one.  Now the great dern pig-beast runs like a top and doesn't hesitate when you turn the key.  Why didn't I listen to my instincts and smack the relay from the very start?  Argh.

I have to paint my new things straight away before they make it to the lead pile where they sit forever, sadly that doesn't happen enough (the painting).

I just spent two hours making a very large soup.  Now I have to throw the entire thing in the garbage.  Due to the "heat resistant" measuring cup I was attempting to fill with the soup in order to begin transfering it to the blender, shattering into the pot and all over the kitchen.  I am so ticked, no emoticons can express it.  Not and keep this forum family friendly.

It is 4:31hrs, I have just made myself some de-caf coffee and am sitting in my living room after being in bed since 22:30hrs without sleeping.

I am mildly annoyed because that is Saturday ruined :(.

It was, and always is, not very pleasant :(. Tear gas is not nice at all.

Tear gas is not nice at all.

The point, I believe.  Never been near the stuff, but have known a couple people who have been in the same position as you.  They had the same level of enjoyment of it as you too.

I'm just going to voice my annoyance of the auto downloading installer for the trashware called Mobogenie.  Its apparently a file transfer/backup tool.  It automatically downloads from sites all over the web and is a rotter to get rid of on a PC.  Thankfully on my tablet, I just open the downloads folder, select it and delete the installer, without ever giving it a second thought.  It is really annoying thats all.  If I want a program like that, I will look one up and research it.  I don't want it crammed down my gob without knowing what it does.

Mobogenie, I curse thee!  And swat you like a gnat.

My Scooter.  This morning on my way to work, my scooter crapped out.  4 years of almost total reliability and it decides it doesn't want to play anymore.  It runs but lacks power, won't do more than 30km/hr if that.  Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.
