I'm sure it could be "arranged" for him to miss some lessons. I'll split it with you 50/50 :drevil2:

Bloody ink cartridges  :tantrum:
Bought some non-original ones for my canon printer for 20 opposed to 75 for the genuine ones from a local computer shop and they worked fine. The second lot I bought the printer won't recognise the cartridges despite cleaning the chips and contacts with alcohol as suggested by a google search. Luckily I only bought 2 the second time round and due to now being covered in cyan and magenta ink and gettng ink on the carpet in the computer room - they have gone in the bin -alright it was a waste of 8 but they came from amazon and I am far too stressed to mess about returning the danmed things !
I have just found some proper canon ones for 8 each on amazon so hopefully they should be ok...............

No... I think I'll just give the money to his sister, that will truly get under his skin

On a different note... my PC has thrown a major wobbly and I am having to put it in safe mode in order to get online. Luckily I have managed to save all of my pix and documents otherwise I think I may have turned the base unit into a savagely thrown projectile  :swear:

I'm lucky in that respect, my brother's next door neighbour is a computer genius so if I get any problems I only need to make a phonecall as he keeps up to date on all the latest threats and problems. On the bright side my ink cartridges arrived yesterday and worked ok so I can make some progress on my UDOD today  :lalala:

So now that I have insulated my floor, my face is on fire because of the fibreglass.  Yes I was wearing goggles.  In the beginning I was wearing goggles, a face mask and fibreglass-proof coveralls.  The face mask didn't work well as I couldn't breathe well through it and it made my goggles fog up.  I tried another one but it was worse.  So by the end I was only wearing the goggles and coveralls part of my hazmat suit.  I'm gonna sleep well tonite and probably be hugely sore tomorrow.

Doesn't sound good. I had to remove my insulation a few years back to get some new stuff put in. A horrible job in the roof cavity. It gets really hot up there. Well worth it in the winter though.

Arthritis flaring badly again. I've had about two hours sleep due to the pain and now I have a left leg that I can barely stand on, let alone walk. I'm in hospital tomorrow, so fingers crossed they can do something.

My g/f as Vasovagal syncope, basically she can faint without any real warning. On friday she fainted getting out of bed in the evening and smashed into the metal frame, and when she came round had zero feeling in either of her legs. Phoned ambulance and spent the next 4 hours waiting for the doc's to tell us hour serious it was. Lucky it was nerve shock rather than damage, and one leg came back to usable in about 2 and a bit hours the other one still wasn't right as we left the hospital at 5 in the morning, she could walk on it but it hurt a lot. Scariest 4 hours of my life waiting for xrays to make sure her spine hadn't been damage etc.

Enhanced CRB checks. I need one to get into a lot of schools to do puppet shows and workshops. I don't object to protecting kids but I do object to the system meaning it's impossible for me as a self-employed individual to get an enhanced CRB. You need to be covered by a large business or recognised umbrella group. What's further galling is that I don't actually need one as I'm never supposed to be left alone with kids, it's just LEAs being over-protective and misrepresenting government advice. I've found a sidestep fortunately and so now I'm a STEM Ambassador to schools and they'll provide me with an Enhanced CRB.

Enhanced CRB checks

I've got one CRB from my club as a rugby coach, plus an additional RFU CRB check, one as a football coach and one as a school governor.

When I went to coach rugby at a school, even though I have two CRB's covering coaching rugby and one covering schooling, I still needed a different one to actually teach in a school!

There is, however, another form you can sign which is called something like a D80 (I think, can't remember) which is supposed to cover you instead. It is a bit mental tho...

I have two slipped discs in my lower spine I had an MRI a year ago and they lost the results. They have finally turned up and I had the distinct pleasure of being informed that yes to of your discs are severely slipped. I could have done with knowing that a year ago. I need physio and am now on pain killers and have to sleep on a plank at times. :( The same GP lost my medical notes for 6 months.

Am I right in thinking one of the few downsides of the NHS scheme is that it's a real pain to change GP's?

no it is pretty easy, provided you havent got struck off a gps list due to failure to attend appointments or being abusive to staff.
A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather & ask for it back when it starts to rain.

most mornings i wake up grumpy.   sometimes i just let him sleep.

my life consists of brief snatched moments of living my life hidden deep among chaos, confusion& the  going crazy, every night i go to sleep filled with hope & enthusiasm for the new day coming.  then i wake up & think "here I go again" & just aim to survive.

One of my mates dogs got out and was hit and killed by a car earlier  :(
He was a rescued Greyhound called Stewie who had been abused and consequently didn't really like people but he seemed to like me, I was only round there last night and he was curled up next to the fire as peaceful as could be  8:::

Dragon sorry to hear that. I'm in the process of changing GP's. Thing's that piss you off my camera that I sent off to get fixed came back and today I tried to charge it only to have the battery blow up on me. I don't know when I'll be able to get it fixed or replaced.

Can't go after the repair place for a replacement?  They were the last place to touch it.  I'd think unless they can prove that they did not have any contact with the battery in any way, they'd be on the hook for replacement.

For today's episode; it's the person or persons who is going around town, vandalising christmas lights and displays.  WTF could possibly cause someone to feel the need to wreck someone else's property for no other reason that to wreck stuff.  If they need to wreck something, I bet their own house is full of stuff to smash.  Or they could smash themselves with a big heavy fry pan.

Ok little rant done now.

I know what you mean. Someone had a go at the new tree that had been planted on the berm (burm?) outside our house a few days ago. They snapped the reinforcing posts that have been holding it steady and now it's on a lean. The new one is because someone managed to snap the old on in half, it wasn't thick, but it wasn't thin either.

My best mate is in hospital with a severe infection in his hand from a dog bite he got when his greyhound got knocked down last week - he says he isn't worried but they have him hooked up to an antibiotic drip and he is scheduled for surgery in the morning to cut out the dead tissue which has formed round the wounds
I told him he has to be out by friday as he has 3 episodes of the Walking Dead on his Sky box I haven't seen yet - just what you need to watch with infected bite wounds.........

The Pog has disappeared:

... and there has been news of a dead cat matching his description, near our house. I've investigated but there was no evidence of a dead cat where I had been told. I knocked on a few doors and checked some bins but there isn't really much more I can do.

Pog had a collar and was chipped so I guess I just have to wait and see now :(
