Spam phone-texts from lawyers / solicitors saying I've 'had an accident' and that I have a big money claim waiting for me.
Lots of spam e-mails from banks (same as leadhead) and customs and excise about tax refunds.
...and the third absence notification in six weeks from my son's college. I'd rather these were spam but I am afraid they aren't.
I am not a school bashing parent but on the occasions my son has been noted as absent, he has waited for the teacher to arrive for twenty minutes before disappearing. If this is the case (and he is not lying to me) then I am disappointed that a school with such high concerns about punctuality can't employ teachers with the same values that can actually be punctual for their lessons.
I have told my son to remain in the class for the full term even if a teacher does not turn up because the next truancy letter will cost him £50-00.
I will be talking to the college to find out what is going on with the classes... even if it is just to confirm what my son has been telling me.
... and this straight after we had to change the locks because he lost his keys with his identity cards... £420-00 phone bills... the list goes on and on.
What I'd like to know is where the hell is the guide-book?! You get one for a CD player, why not teenagers?
