I'll tell you what p****s me off; getting another Gulf detachment 2 months earlier than you have told everyone...and then you have to tell your family...THAT p****s me off...in fact it p****s me off greatly :(.

And they wonder why moral in the armed forces is at an all time low.

there was too much time away from home 15 years ago when lots of people I know left. Its even worse now.

Oh, and I might've meant decibels, rather than octaves.  I'm not sure.

Octaves is what your voice raises in if you are a guy and wear pants/underwear several sizes too small.
I wonder why you’re talking ‘cos you’re talking all the time
Will you ever get the message and just leave it all behind
The conversation’s trivial but trivial is fine

Dude... we should form a support group. :D :P

And RE the first bit of the quote: recent reception of a competition prize made me feel a lot better about 'childishness' remarks.  And then some.  Thanks again to the Whites!

Oh, and I might've meant decibels, rather than octaves.  I'm not sure.

1) Cool, will there be t-shirts and badges?
I know they mean well and want me to "reach my potential" and other such buzz phrases, mostly gleaned from the pop-psychology section of their latest child rearing textbook, but I don't want to teach a bunch of unruly teen monsters in a system I believe is failing them and especially not GCSE/A level science because 90% of the subject bores me to tears. They were always a means to an end, I had to learn them to get where I wanted to go (marine biology or paleaontology). The idea of having to do carbon ring structures day after day, year after year, chills me to the very core!!

2) And well deserved it was too!! It's on my list when it comes out.

3) Either is good, squeaky versus loud, it's quite easy to go both. :)

Also, nice tagline, I've just read that :) It has however put the kibosh on me working one of his terms about the butterfly of the buttocks in as mine.

When you post a forum message offering something for sale, including the price, postage, etc.; and someone PMs you to ask a further question or two about it; and when they're satisfied they ask 'how much is it?'

Yes, I'm off out there again at the beginning of May.  Only for two months this time but they could have told me, rather than me finding out by a chance look on the computer at work  :tantrum:.

Planned obsolescence.

Having my delusions of possessing an impressive vocabulary shattered by not understanding a word.

Looking up said word and finding out I should have quite easily been able to work it out.

Grymm fanbois.

And, yes, I realise this is urinating into the wind on this forum.

(I'm happy to be a Grymn Fanboy ;)...and I don't care who's P'd off by it  ).

Hows about Scrunt Fanbois?

They're even worse than their Grymm-lovin' cousins. A bigger bunch of  :steders: would be hard to find. Still, both flavours are marginally more evolved than the Buffy fanbois

Hmmm an evening out with SM Geller (aged almost 31) or Alyson Hannigan ( aged almost 34) .... compare to an evening with some lead soliders...

Kev which would you prefer? (pretend Sally doesn't read this thread)

You know those ages don't make me feel so bad

What about 27 year-old Eliza Dushku? Sassy, bad and leather clad  :notworthy:

Mind you, it pisses me off that she doesn't answer my phone calls.

People who say' bored of ' instead of 'bored with'.
People, including teaching assistants, who don't know the difference between the verbs 'to learn' and 'to teach' as in,- 'We've learned them to read'- WRONG.
People who say ' off of ' instead of ' from'  as in- ' I bought it off of a neighbour. '- WRONG.
People, including pop stars and footballers, who use the expression 'I'm like' instead of  'I said'.
People !

Having to take 3 days off work with a viral infection of my eye. Effectively cold sores on my eyeball. I've spent most of the time either in A&E or on my back in a darkened room unable to read, write, draw, paint, watch telly or do much of anything on my computer for any length of time. Then going back to work today, still in pain, on medication, with a red swollen eye, extremely sensitive to light and being accused of malingering at my ironically named "Welcome Back" meeting.

People who insist on pronouncing 'schedule' as 'skedule' and use the 'school' vs 'skool' argument to justify their wrong pronounciation....  :soapbox:

I just got back from an art class. This week we had to cut up large amounts of cardboard with craft knives. Teacher warns us to be extra careful not to cut ourselves, as health and safety regulations prohibit elastoplast being included in the first aid box, because someone might have an allergic reaction to elastoplast.
