I'm sure someone must have suggested this before but i think in the spirit of sci-fi you've got to do 'Not' the Red Dwarf crew- Derek Custer, Kit, Titan with.... the other one (I think the most obvious alternate name for Rimmer would be 'Felcher' but i'm not sure how you would market that, or indeed his alter ego 'Ace Felcher') To be honest i'm not sure why someone hasnt marketted a Battle Fleet Gothic ship based on the crimson short one.

And then there's always potential in 'not' Blackadder (particularly with that GD entry 'Blackadder, the warhammer years' way back when i was fairly new to this hobby- 98, 99 kind of time). I'd quite like to see 28mm representations of the Elizabethan Blackadder, perhaps even the guests too- Ludwig the Indistwuctable, Flashheart, the Bishop of Bath and Wells (Tom the Minstrel as a bonus figure).

GW have been markedly short of pure pop-culture parodies since....well.... Sly Marbo, so you have your niche :D

There's been several requests for the boys from the Dwarf, and we still live in hope!. In the meantime one of our forum members has been working on his own versions, conversions of already existing figures. A bit labour intensive, but you may find it interesting.

As to your Blackadder suggestion, good idea! A self serving lord, his idiotic servant and some posh fool who follows him would make for interesting miniatures.

If you are going to do Serenity style minis, what about the "bad guys".  The Alliance has several different soldier types.  So far I have been able to substitute nazis in trenchcoats for marshal leaders and the EM4 plastic soldiers for purple bellies.  The marshals in berets armed with sonic stunners are a little challenging.  Also Adeli Nishka's troops are tricky.  The uniform that they sort of have is kind of like WWII commando gear.  It seems dark blue almost black shirt/pants and a stocking cap.  I have a set of dock-workers, and some of them have stocking caps and sweaters, but some have caps and coats.  It would be nice if there were mix and match parts for conversion work.  So I could give western style figures sci-fi fire arms like the sonic stunners.  Or swap out heads to get rid of cowboy hats on some of my 19th century figs.

maybe a MAJ Alan "Dutch" Schaefer esque mini so at least we can shout "GHET TOH DAH CHOPPAH!", when we get the fantastic looking Hürn mini and also maybe an Arnie style terminator would fit into the robot category. im sorry but im a big Arnie fan and we are lacking a decend model of him! :D

imagine groups of 5 models at a time:
1) Smugglers: serenity style, to include new Mal, Jayne, Zoe, Wash, and 5th one either Shepherd or Kaylee. Fingers crossed for faces here.
2) Smugglers/Mercs. Crew of the Betty  from Alien resurrection. Ripley, Jono, the wheelchair guy, the guy with dreads and guns, poss cole
3) Feebloids. Grays! Puny little greys at that. Leads on to crabmen and other hybrids later on.
4) Hurns and other alien hunters. Alien nasties to kill the humans with
5) Deck Crew and other support personnel. Self-explanatory. The guys in survival suits who repair the damage to airlocks etc.
6) Armoured security. Faceless oppression? You decide.
7) Ex-military mercs. Bad to the bone and killing for cash.
8 ) Wanted Crims and other personalities. eg Riddick like people
9) Special Agents. Bauer, Smith, Deckard, Will Smith from I, Robot, Vic Mackey.
10) Robots - service androids etc. The mark 3 robots from I Robot. (The not so good ones)
11) Scumbags, politicians and officials. The chief from Ghost in the Shell, for instance. Assorted suits.
All of the above please so stop wasting time on here and get cracking , theres a good chap. :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:

I'd quite like to see the cthulu aliens (sort of pair shaped?) and on a related note think it is a big shame that some of the doom beasties are not available. I'd like a mancubus and pinky demon or two, may be some imps (386 style).

doom monsters are available in the bourd game. the humans are 30mm tall, the fat zombies are smaller, the monsters should all be fine for 28mm. check out the painted examples at the bottom of the page
