More fan mail for Muller.
« on: April 09, 2007, 02:20:38 PM »
I was reorganizing my painting workshop for the millionth time, when I stumbled across some old Chainmail figs and the rulebook and painting guide.  Lo and behold, some of the Elves from Chainmail were done by a certain Paul Muller, of Heresy Ghoul, undead, Scumbore Ogre fame.  Mind you, these were delicate sculpts in slightly less heroic proportions than his work we've seen for Heresy, but man, some of them are still really good.

1.  Is this indeed the work of the same Paul Muller?
2.  Will any models like these be sculpted again in Heresy style?  Elves?  Dark Elves?  Really Dark Elves?
3.  Eat your vegetables and take care of yourself.  We all want to see more of your work.

Cheers.

Yeah I worked for Wizards for a couple of years. Most of the figures I sculpted then were mediocre, in retrospect.
I did do a zombie gnoll for the chainmail range that I'd still consider a good sculpt.
 Folly of youth .. etc..

Dark Elves?  Really Dark Elves?

This I'd like to see. Proper range of AD&D style Drow. Would fit pretty well with the rest of Andy's dungeon-bashing range I reckon.

Mr. Muller has already been sculpting some terrific D&D inspired giants. I would love to see Paul's rendition of some of the Gods.

That old stuff wasn't so terrible Paul.  It is nice to see your progression.  I for one would like to see some of those ideas revisited and revamped at your current skill level.  I know Heresy is known for its big monsters, but some of those tinier sculpts you did back then were still pretty cool.

Funny, they don't have a pendulum swinging pocketwatch icon on here...........
