well i was screwing into something at the time............. :drevil2:

yes i was using a powerdrill  to tighten up some bolts that hold a very heavy cupboard  against a wall (anti fall over device)

the bit slipped, the drill bit into the bolt and spun very quickly into my thumb............lots of swear words later and some relocation of my thumb..........it is now broke.

i can't even do any of what peter is thinking about either now!    :drevil2:

Can't beat good old DIY (don't injure yourself) keeps the hospitals open.

Any excuse to get out of painting, thats why you have a spare hand.

Cut your ear off instead leaves your hands free for painting, thats what Van Gogh did.  :ninja2:

Joking aside, thats a kick in the  :kick: just when you were ready to paint too.

Does this take you out of the competition for the diorama? :paranoid:

Soon...soon I'll force more injuries on the rest of the competition and the prize will be mine...all mine! :aku1:

Donīt get discouraged!
Heres a list of thing to do:

-Practise ambidexterity.
-Dip minis in TCR.
-Superglue a selection of brushes to your remaining four fingers.
-Get an airbrush (for left hand applications).
-Spend time with your family  :saber:
-Start planning for 2007īs GD entries.
-Use minis as canvases for abstract experiments with colour.
-Apply basecoats in oil paint (with left hand), the minis will be ready for highlights by the time your hand has healed enough.
-Go on vacation  :D

How broken is it?

I broke my thumb once, but I couldnt work out what was more painful - the broken thumb or the dislocated shoulder that i did at the same time :(

For shame, you lot.  Some of you. :tsk:

I've never broken anything, much less a thumb.  But I wouldn't like to.  You have my sympathy, Medved.

How about a fresh Exacto blade across the top of the thumb. Only the nail stopped it going to the bone. :blub:
At least there was some superglue handy.
