Had them painted for ages but never got round to showing them.
As usual, they're to RB craptastic standard in both painting and photography.

If you paint the bases black it helps set off the figure better and would hide that scratch too.
You need more light and raise the camera so we can see the base better.
Try adjusting your light setting on your camera too.

Is that a scratch on both bases or on the camera lens?

Mad Dog has serpently been busy, I'm assuming that's TCR on him?

Grant's a bit difficult to make out, but I like the fact you've done him as a black guy

Looks like it could be a signature.

That's a hair, not a scratch. My lightbox has not been used in a while; it's still rather dusty.

With Grant, I tried to make him as soldier like as possible, He has USMC camo, complete with the standard black knee-pads and boots and dark green khaki webbing. The shirt was done with a light brown Humbrol paint with a brown wash followed by further highlight to bring the colour back out.

That isn't TCR (still haven't got it) instead it's a mix of red/brown ink with some clear gloss thrown in. For Mad-dgo, considering the feedback I got from Mjolnir, I added a bit of green to the flesh tone and it came out nice (not too sickly) and a great shade of flesh. I'm trying to experiment with other colours added in as I go on with the others.

Wristy, I used to have a black rim :drevil2: but I substitued for this after I realised it made my minis look too dark.

You might want to think about leaving the eyes as just dark sockets or doing them before the rest of the skin. Currently they draw attention away from the rest of the paintjob...

Grant's dark complexion works against him.

EDIT: the problem with the eyes is that I don't have a pointy brush to be able to dot them fine enough.

What do you mean by dark sockets? Just leaving them white or grey?

just leave them as your darkest flesh tone, or get a micron pen.

Yah, I usually do the eye first so I don't muck up the face later on as I sometimes need a few tries to get the eyes alright.

You can try this.  After you have the whole eye white, draw as thin a line as you can from above the eye past it to the cheek.  Then paint the face colour carefully over the face making sure that you paint over the parts of the line that go onto the face but leaving the eye unpainted.

That just may work. He may end up looking like some sort of alien with cats eyes if I use the fat brush I've got atm though. Need desperately new brushes.
