My HF order just arrived + one figure + sweets (first chance to taste the delights of the White's candy jar)

Fate smiles on my (or rather pity for missing out on the sale) but I've got other stuff to order now.

We're we told if we'd be allowed to uses BS minis in this compo? Or was it just assumed?

I'd check that. My guess would be no. They organised this long before I was invited and they are providing the prizes and so they want this to reflect/promote their product.

Don't worry, once I'm settled in there will be more comps involving Black Scorpion!

I have been thinking to ask this for a while and this finally reminded me. Andy, Kev or Sally please let me know if it is ok to use one of Steve's figures from Spyglass? I had been wondering since I would have to go through Andy to buy it anyway.

I feel a bitlike Holly in the first episode of red Dwarf. Everybody's dead Dave...they're all dead dave...he's dead dave...

The competition entry must consist of Miniatures from Heresy and Hasslefree. That's the rule.

You can add Spyglass or Black Scorpion to taste, as with other companies, but the main story must focus on Heresy/Hasslefree. If you can do a workable story with all four , I'll be impressed.

Like Adam said, we organised this before he came along, but future contests will obviously include his stuff!

Did I hear right that we've got to take pics before we paint them up?

That link is to a forum room.  Are you saying I create a thread like "vincegamer's diorama WIP"?

I just got the mail and my Heresy minis were in it, so I can now begin.
I'll try to take a pic of the minis I'm using unpainted and post them in the WIP thread room.

Well my idea is finally in place. I had ordered figs with the comp in mind... but wasn't sure if I would have enough time. Weeks later, still not sure about time and after having changed the figs for the idea (became from Hasslefree heavy to Heresy heavy... Sorry Kev... but Andy's fitted my idea better (and the fact that they are multipart is a plus here).... I decided I will just give it a go anyway. If I dont make it before the deathline I can just finish it at leasure in the wip thread.

When I first started coming back to the forum here again on a regular basis a couple of months ago, i somehow kept bypassing this section of the forum.  I saw mention elsewhere of the Diorama of Doom entries but figured the contest was ending soon and didn't really pay attention to what it was about.  Well, now that I know more of the details and also know that the deadline is Halloween, I realized I had the perfect project already planned and the contest just gives me more impetus to get it done.

As some of you know, I'm also into Model Railroading, and the local train club whose displays are located in an restored train depot built in 1922 has allotted me space for my S Gauge.  I've already built the table and put down a basic loop of track on some bare foam until I finish the planning and implement the terrain.  I've been wanting to do a special scene for halloween for every year but haven't had enough minis in the scale for the HO table (15-20mm) to do a proper halloween train table.  Because S Gauge or American Flyer Gauge is the equivalent of 25mm, the miniatures may look slightly large but will fit in close enough.  Since part of my table is going to be a small town main street, my diorama will consist of an invasion of the supernatural from zombies and ghouls to demons and vampires upon sleepy small town america.

EDIT:  I have started a thread in the Colouring In Area for my diorama and moved the shots of my blank slate there.

Sorry I've left this to Andy over the weekend  Anyway, I'm back now.

To recap:

Conversions? Fine.

Models from other companies? Only if really neccessary but don't be surprised if, should it come to a photo finish, a purely HF and Heresy diorama wins.

Homesculpts? Fine.

Entries? You can email the pictures to me at "kev@mycompany'snameinoneword.co.uk". WIPs and finished entries can be shown online, but remember, ideas can get nicked.

Multiple entries? Fine. The more the merrier (cos it means you've spent more cash on our stuff :drevil2:)

Can anyone enter? Yes, but of course they'll need to be a member here if they want to post their WIP pics (we'll sort out the final entries and get them online, but time precludes us from getting all the WIPs uploaded)

How many (serious) questions did I forget to summarise?

Here you go.  :yup:

In the comps section should be right as it is a mix of the two companys figures, i posted the finished pic's in my WIP post, but a sepert one just for the enteries and nothing else would be great, just like the convert a Boris comp.  :yup:
