No idea what the freehand means but it's probably to do with my old age.
Good looking paintjob from what I can see, the face is very good - I'm always jealous of people who can paint a glint in the eyes on minis.

Same problem with the pic as last time though, looks quite pixellated to me - What is your camera's resolution?

Thanks! :)
The resolution is not the problem; the whole camera is simply crap! Itīs the same one that I used when I made pictures of my version of Liralith Redoux. I have to use all kinds of tricks to get some pictures on which you can see some details...
When I had the kiddies finished, I borrowed another digicam and...voila, great pics without editing!
But with the camera I have here... I guess thatīs just as good as it gets.
Sorry for the poor pics, but I cantīt do anything about it until I have enough money to buy a new camera. Those pictures also let me down on cmon, which is a pity... :(
Well, but anyway: Does noone have a clue what the freehand means? Iīll give you a hint: Itīs the logo (I hope this word exists in english) of a german band!  8)

Oli

Check again in a few days...

The camera is a "Olympus Camedia C-720 Ultra Zoom"...
It was quite good when it came out, but that was some years ago...

When my next project is finished, Iīll borrow a better camera again!

Thanks, guys!  :D

And concerning the freehand: Itīs the initials of my favourite band, Emil Bulls ( EB). If you want to check them out look here:

Thats a perfcetly good camera for what you want. 3 megapixels is more than enough and it has macro. Make sure the zoom is totally off and turn on the macro....little tulip icon, middle button top.

Set your camera about 6 inches away and take your pics making sure the auto focus sets ok.
Lighting is important. Basically make sure its nice and bright in the room and if possible use some portable lights at the mini.

Jup, thatīs the cam!
I really appreciate that you help me so much, but believe me: Itīs useless!
I know about all those things (and they work with other cameras), but in this case it doesnīt matter what I try because the camera is bullsh**.
Okay, maybe Iīm too stupid to use it in the right way, but I get really good pictures when I use other digicams, so Iīll keep on blaming the camera for it...
But anyway: Like I already said: Thanks, Klute!
And I promise that the next pictures Iīll show here will be much better (because I hate watching the rating going down... )!

Oli

Yeah sorry to harp on about it I just hate it when bad pics spoil good paintjobs.

It sounds like your camera there could be bust. The specs are certainly up to the job. Maybe the zoom is broken or something.

Slightly stupid but nevertheless serious question: how old are the batteries (assuming it's rechargable batteries that you're useing)?
Sometimes strange problems are caused because there's simply not enough power available for a camera to work properly.

@ Klute: Jup, I hate that too (especially if it spoils MY paintjobs...)

@ Ink: Well, I donīt really know how old the batteries are, so there might be a problem with the power... Iīll exchange them next time. Thanks for the hint!

@ Ben: Thanks! Itīs nice to see that you guys look beyond the quality of the photo...  :)
