Here's a guide to assembling the body parts of the NL2!

I discovered some parts have reduced in size more than I realised they had, and some in awkward ways have changed dimension, but if you follow this guide precisely, you should do OK. Whistling

You should be OK once this lot is together, since you're an expert modeller. If you want an example of how to fill gaps (i.e. you're not an expert, but you didn't bother to read the warnings before you ordered the Netherlord) then you can use the other article on the Heresy site. You'll have to skip forward a few pages!

Top man

Unfortunately I got as far as have a beer on standby and got carried away. Fortunately I put my NL2 together already Very Happy - Tis a beastie, but a beatuiful beastie at that

One to note for the casual builder of big beasties, Andy has been so kind as to provide ball & socket and or opposing pin holes as guides for pinning of most of the major loadbearing joins which is a real godsend when trying to assemble something so heavy

\now I just have to get busy with the greenstuff and the acryllic Very Happy

*sigh* I really envy whoever has already built the NL2 (or 1, for that matter). I'm really itching to do one of the big guys but the list of "to do" minis is growing longer... which I wouldn't mind per se, since I get money from them, but they're SO boring! Like, "Oooh, you have what, Wood Elves? And you want them painted green and brown? I see..."  Rolling Eyes

...oh, and I just read the article. It's great but, man, coffee is NOT rubbish! That dishwash you get at McDonald's is! Try coming to Italy and getting yourself a real espresso... then we'll talk about it again!   Razz  Wink

Mmmm, coffee!  Even that swill that they give us at work gets me going in the morning.

That assembly guide is great!  I was gonna try for something similar, but yours is much better than I could have come up with.  It also helps with some of the more troublesome areas, like figuring out the fit of the top of the stomach.  Thanks!!

All coffee is rubbish, and espresso is rubbish in tiny amounts.

Seriously, I don't like coffee. I've tried. I've even forced myself to finish a whole cup once or twice in an effort to make it through a big pile of orders when we'd run out of teabags. I love the smell of coffee, but for some reason, i just can't come to terms with the taste, even if I pile sugar into it.
Wish I did like it, but I don't.

I have to agree with Andy as well, can't stand the taste of coffee, tea is the prefered hot drink (and usually herbal as I don't use cream or suger).

Good coffee is fantastic

English coffee (and American too for the most part) tends to be crap but I drink it as I can drink it without sugar whereas I only like tea with sugar and I need to cut it out as I'm a fat batsitch Very Happy

Italian coffee is the mutts nuts and whenever I come home form a trip to Italy I'm laden with the stuff... doesn;t last long tho Whistling

Has to be a cup of char everytime Wink
The taste  is bad enough to me but even the smell of coffe makes me feel sick Sick
I have even had a go with very weak coffee and loads of suger (which i don't take in my tea) and i still had to force myself to drink it but i could not finish it Sick

Have just finished assembling and filling mine.  Had a few problems pinning the leg, but got it sorted in the end and covered up my cock up with some greenstuff.  It's now undercoated and waiting for me to make it look hideous by putting some paint on it.

actually I meant that I'd covered up my c.o.c.k up when pinning the big bugger to the base with some greenstuff but the swear filter takes out the male bird reference and puts in the word penis instead.

A friend dropped his NL2 off for me to put together, did'nt need the guide as it went together well'ish with only the odd  Swear here & there. Had a look at the guide tho, if your intending to build NL2 check it out, even if you don't follow it. No green stuff was put on any tadgers here.
As for coffee, the only drink is TEA, coffee kills the taste of every thing, besides the only drink to go wiv ya Fish & Chips, mushy peas, bread & butter is a nice steaming cup of Rosey Lee. Plus coffee can make one poop alot! Coffee Twisted Evil

Blast! Tantrum

I did not know there was a guide, I assembled mine without it, and missed out the center back piece (I used epoxie sculpt to fill in the gap)
