See.  I'm the opposite, I would be more than happy with a Blade-alike...

I've been working on a conversion for a Blade lookalilke for a month now. Started with the Vampire Hunter from WestWind's Roadkill line and removed the head and the gun. Reposed the gun arm so it was pointing the weapon. Filed the sword down so it would look like a sword. Added greenstuff to the collar of the coat so it would look like it was laying more naturally. Used one of Kev's male heads and sculpted the flattop haircut on the head. I just need to sculpt on some ears and get him painted up. I'm considering resculpting the body armor as well.
And I swear on Charlton Heston’s magic laser sword that I truly do not give a flying crap.  Apologize to my hat.

There are more than enough Blades and knock offs.  But more important I'm not interested in Blade.

I said male death dealer.  A quick view of the origin of Kat would certainly be where to go to see what I mean.  So in other words, a figure in the style of Kat/Dionne, but male.  As in you put them side by side and you'd know they were from the same unit/side/whatever.

Iain.

PS: I have nothing against Kev doing a Blade-alike, but that's not what my post was about.

You see, I thought you were referring to a rather good Frank Frazetta painting called something like The Deathdealer depicting a chaos warrior type on a horse surrounded by the carnage of a recently used battlefield.

Then I read it and realised you weren't :(.

Then the male part would have been redundant.  ;)  But I'd love to see some Frazetta and Bisley inspired feral fantasy.

damn right, Bisley is a genius - anyone ever see his version of Judge Death with a dead chicken nailed to his shoulder?

Yes. I've got the book somewhere. "Judgement on Gotham" or something similar.

Iain.

Well.  2 of those were Heroclix, so no good to me (no supplier and no interest.  The other looks like a particularly flat, featurless and absent of any character mini from the mid 80's...  So only 3?  None of which do what I want them to do, which is look good.

So I'll go back to asking kev for a Blade-alike, because I know that even if it doesn't look like him, it will be far, far superior to that westwind effort.

There's this thing called the Interweb and along with pr0n you can buy single Heroclix figures.  Many people also repaint them.

The problem with Kev sculpting a Blade-alike is it's still based on Blade, well actually Wesley Snipes since the comic Blade would probably be unrecognizable to the public.

Speaking as a reader of Tomb of Dracula, Ghost Rider, Midnight Sons and many other Marvel Comics, I can say that the current Marvel Comics Blade is too close to the movie version to be unrecognizable.

It will be interesting to see how the Blade TV show does and if it displaces the Wesley Snipes image of Blade.

But death dealer, european male in tight leather-like suit ...  grrr!  Then famous dhamphirs (Blade, D, Bloodrayne) from across pop culture.

I'm with DanG in that the Blade minis suggested would look like something the cat dragged in if put next to one of Kev's sculpts - It'd just be criminal.

So I'm firmly in the Bladealike camp :P

I'd also like a male death dealer in the style of Kat .......
Such is life!
