You make me wish I had an airbrush (and the skills to use it)
Looks really good, the green fits really well, kind of makes me imagine them flying through neon signage.

Thanks beefcake. Its really not as hard as you think. I have very rarely used my airbrush and still consider myself a total beginner. But I have promised myself I am going to do more and keep trying. I've watched a bunch of youtube videos and frankly came to the conclusion that I'm smarter than a lot of the people on there so it cant be that hard to learn - i just need to dedicate myself to some practice.

I've just spent several hours looking for my liquid mask to mask off the windscreens so that I can start on the main camouflage colours. Turns out the bottle is a different colour than I remember and was actually in the first place I looked! feck! SO an hour later I'm now waiting for the liquid mask on all the windscreens to dry.

Boy this stuff smells!

Thanks steel Penguin. I messed up the blue - couldnt get a smooth coat at all. So decided to go with an airbrushed tint instead. As the base of the camouflage is a blue grey tone, at the last minute I thought a green tint would look better.

I couldn't resist taking the mask off a couple of vehicles after I'd sprayed the rough camouflage.

Thanks guys..

:tantrum: painting 48 tyres black really is a soul destroying activity.

Anyway thats done, and all the details, vents etc are now blacked in.

:tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: Tried washing them with the same formula i used 8 years ago and it pooled and left horrible tide marks. I'm guessing paints and washes don't last for ever!! So, had to re-paint the ruined vehicle from black undercoat up.

Next step, blockign in details - vents and louvres, smoke dischargers, lights, weapons etc.

then... I need to design some decals like this..

Check my blog for the thinking on designs.

At least you've done them. They look even better with more paint on them. Keep it up.

Thanks. Most of the details are now done, pictures tomorrow.
I'm trying really hard not to look at the unpainted 20 more vehicles in my display cabinet, or the 5 previously painted models that now don't match!

The paw decal looks great. Is the bear one going to be big and painted? like the bunny face in SuckerPunch? if not it might want the lines thickening? yes no maybe?

All camouflage work done. Most of the details complete or just blocked in black.

Still to do : Metal coat on the diamond plate, edge highlighting of all the panels (urgh! - I hate that bit!), winter weathering. Then there are decals to go on.

The picture shows the 8 year old paint job I am trying to match on the largest APC.
