Helpful as ever Inso thanks.
That eBay one is interesting in design but way too big.
I have the pardulon one as well as the similar antenociti's firefly, both good but too big for my current idea.
Stylistically I like the first miniature scenery one , I had forgotten about them, I like the single rotor design and compact size but dislike the "I AM MADE OF MDF" look, though I admit they do push the envelope of what's possible in laser cutting. But that first one is just the kind of squat dumpy simple industrial look I want! Thanks I hadn't thought one rotor - the engineer in me says no, but this time I may not listen

I'd forgotten about maxmini too.
Lots to think about. Although I maybe buy more of these from zinge industries (I have one set) and fabricate a body myself, pair of lift fans over a slim cockpit, and a very very short tail, nose cannon and fixed landing gear, passable as a large drone as well as one man recon vehicle.
http://zinge.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=110_76&product_id=70I need three so I may toy with cad and then 3D print.
Thanks for fuelling the muse.
