Fish in a Spacesuit.
« on: August 21, 2015, 02:04:04 PM »

Been messing around with Beesputty, turned out like this. Should I do more, or is he just too weird? What kind of psychic powers would fish have? He must have some, cos how else does he reach the controls of his ship with those stubby little fins?
I have already cast him, next step is to get it painted...

I love it. A clear dome on top would be great!

If you care to invent a clear sculpting putty...
The idea was that the spacesuit is his fishbowl. I have some ideas for a starship design too... hmmm

Very characterful :)

It looks like it would be fun to paint. Do you have a standard 28mm human to stand next to it so you could take another pic for scale purposes?

Cult of Inevitable Decay painted:  93/123 (Heresy), 22/22 (non Heresy)

What was that universal greeting?  "Bah weep, grah nah weep, ninny bong!"  Hot Rod, Transformers: The Movie

I have a tweeter thing now.  I might even use it.  @leadpaintshed if I can figure out how to

I was thinking the sort that comes as a canopy to aircraft etc and was wondering if you had sculpted it with one in mind.

That's really neat. I like it. Its like a grumpy version of Klaus from American Dad, in a spacesuit. :D
Like to see one painted up.

Very cool! He's got loads of character... It reminds me a lot of some of the designs from the Earthworm Jim games. Heh! Great stuff.

Some progress made. Mold made, hand cast in metal, based & tastefully landscaped. Just need to get around to painting him...

@Inso: Totally forgot to take comparison pic for scale. Doh. He is about 27 millimeters to the eyes though

It reminds me a lot of some of the designs from the Earthworm Jim games.
Go forth my watery minions, and destroyah! destroyah!! destroyah!!!

I demand more progress! *snatchy hands*. P.S. you have re-inspired me to break out the putty. So I'm currently fighting OBS and setting up my desk to start Twitch streaming my sculpting as a way to keep it going on the regular.
