Question About Bases
« on: November 30, 2014, 06:03:33 AM »
Hello everyone!

I'm new to the forum but have been a long time watcher of Hasslefree (though I haven't taken the plunge and ordered anything yet), and I have a question about bases.

I am rebasing a bunch of prepainted figures, and basing my collection of fantasy figures with round bases to keep everything uniform, and so far I have been using GW's 25mm and 40mm round bases. I know that Hasslefree sells bases for much cheaper than Games Workshop does, and I would love to support a small business like Hasslefree instead of giving GW any money, but I want to make sure everything looks uniform.

So my question is, do Hasslefree and GW round bases look identical from the side (the top will be covered and the bottom doesn't matter) so that I can start ordering them by the hundreds?

For all intents and purposes, they are practically identical however, they are slightly smoother on the top and the slot is slightly differently placed but the dimensions are the same as a GW 25mm base.

The 40mm bases are not the same as GW. They are thinner and have a larger top surface. They look different to GW bases when fitted to a miniature.
