More home-grown goblins
« on: June 08, 2014, 08:06:21 PM »
The other thread was getting a bit cluttered, plus those gobbos are all finished now, and should be safe and sound at there new home. So here is a bright shiny new work in progress thread:

I think I went a bit OTT on the scale armour on that first goblin. Nothing like making life difficult for yourself. On the plus side, definitely starting to get the hang of doing feet. Now I just have to nerve myself to do the fingers...

I have a tweeter thing now.  I might even use it.  @leadpaintshed if I can figure out how to

Two more added to the corks, not much to show at the moment, but they will be based at least loosely on another Martin Whitmore original:

Expect more improvised weaponry. Still working on the skirmishers as well, then the taskmaster says he wants Kobolds... feel like I'm recruiting for an Evil Wizard.  :drevil2:

:metoo: dang, now I feel thirsty...
May I introduce, from L to R: Bugloss, Jab & Glug. Bugloss will be familiar to those of you who entered last years Diorama of Doom. Nice to see him finally painted

I should point out that these appear to be the crude home-made hand castings I gave to Ian at Diceni last month, the ones you buy from Fenris won't have the ghastly mold line visible on Glug's right leg.

Wow, those paintjobs are lovely! Especially love the bottles - that's crazy work right there.  I think I recognize which of the sketches you're working on, and I can't wait to see him! (^_^)

Overcast today, so real trouble taking any half decent photos, but this goblin is done:

More on the corks, pictures soon weather permitting.

Another gobbo done: Sawd the swordgoblin

Some rather more conventional weaponry this time. Too bad he couldn't get one in his size...

More works in (slow) progress:

Whitmore goblins WiP

Drunken skirmishers

Last two don't look like much, but from mighty acorns, tiny oaks are grown...

More progress has been made on the goblins... I really must get around to taking some proper photos
Meantime, two more finished gobbos to be going on with:

My sculpting is improving I think, but my photography is getting worse...

Empty again...?

These little fellows drink too much, I suppose!
