Home-brewed Halfling & half-stewed Goblin
« on: February 27, 2014, 03:31:38 PM »
Some finished greens/greeny-browns. Very hard to get good photos of these. The hobbit is only 15mm to the eyes, so it's almost impossible to get his face in focus

This one just did not want to bo photographed at all. Kept on asking "Yoo lookin' at me?"

14mm to the slightly bleary eyeball.

Loads of character in these little guys! I really like 'em. What are you planning to do with them?

One more for the drunk tank! As always, any comments, advice or criticism is welcome.

17mm to the eyes.

As for what plans I have for these, I was going to have a bash at hand casting them. Could be tricky as they are so small, but I'll give it a go.

Very nicely done :)

They exude character. You may find that some people will find them a little bit 'cartoony' for their tastes but I think they are great :D.

The second one down appears to be holding out a hand... it may be worth making it just a little more jagged and less like a hand... apart from that, I wouldn't change anything on any of them :)

Love 'em :D

Had go hand casting Hobbitses:

The camera just will not focus on this ones face.
Came out quite well, though you can't see the appalling mess I made of the sword. The photo masks that quite well...
A little cleaning up, & I will see if I can make time to paint him.

(I've also Jagged-ified the Goblin's beer bottle.)
