Grymn Powered Armour - What size bases?
« on: November 28, 2013, 04:19:17 PM »
Hi Guys,

I plan on getting some Grymn Powered Armour for Christmas and I was wondering what size base works best with them?  (I plan on getting some Fenris Bases).  I have some human Powered Armor ones from the evil empire that use 40mm, but I was thinking due to the short stature of the Grymn the 40mm would be too big.

Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Free Candy?

I use 25mm bases and they look just right.

You could probably use 30mm bases and still get away with them being fairly plain but anything larger would need to have a lot of details added so that the armour doesn't look 'lost'.

Alternatively, if you are planning to use them for SpaceHulk / as Terminators, use a 40mm base with 'gubbins' on it that elevates the miniature to human height... OR ... you could mount them on a 40mm plinth style base.

GW Powered armour ( space marines) is 25mm bases.  original terminators were the same,  the 40mm based ones of current sales are too big, ( they stand around 5mm taller that my originals).
Id say 25mm,  40mm is for ogre sized plus, dreads, light walkers, etc
