Curious Plankton DoD WIP
« on: October 14, 2013, 03:56:59 PM »
After weeks of inactivity I finally have something to show, not much admittedly but I am hopeful!

the lego structure probably needs another couple of courses adding for more height, but I need to dig some out before we can proceed. then many tiny bricks to glue...

402 paving stones later...

Now in the process of cleaning miniatures. The troll is particularly mould line heavy.

Ok I have no idea... Unless it's Lego mini figs versus the troll, following a bizarre genre-crossing experiment gone wrong...

Now there's something I hadn't thought of... is it too late to change my mind and put a new start up photo?

Uhm uhm... I am in a heavy Lego moment with my daughter, so I'm mastering - literally - them at the present time, and I'm curious to see new events on this thread.

... bizarre genre-crossing experiment ...

That'd actually be quite good.

Some more photos will be up later this week. Admittedly I've been really slack with it this year.  Stupid real life!

Now in the process of cleaning miniatures. The troll is particularly mould line heavy.

If it's mine, then I apologise deeply.

A little progress...

then a little more...

currently in base coating hell, it's the bit of painting I dislike the most, doing models and scenery bits. Should get some done this week and maybe just maybe I might finish in time!

Today still counts as this week right?

more done -

So I learned a few things doing this:

1. My hands are way too big for this not to be stressful
2. It was a stupid idea! It took ages

Annoyingly 1500 bricks later I ran out being about 100 short. Need to wait for some more to arrive now...

Needs some filler now but all the bricks are there. Then bits and bobs of dressing

I also painted some miniatures but after taking the photos they looked so awful it was all I could do not to kill them with fire...

More work first I think

The street seems finished and we're ready for miniatures, which are about half done. I might make it after all...

Odd lighting on the first 2, a combination of room light, no flash and a lamp off to the side. I quite like it though

angled...

cannon close up...

Thank you. The leaves are from antenocitis workshop.  They're actually dried flowers I think

How do you tell your boss the reason you have no idea what she just said is because you were thinking about what colour a trolls nipples should be?
