I hate my sodding airbrush!

I dont seem to be able to get it working roperly from one session to the next.

just putting a first coat on the main body of the workshop and suddenly i have paint splatter everywhere!!

One moment i have very little paint flow, the next SPLAT!

i clean and clean and clean it. I've even bought a sonic cleaner but still i cant get a smooth flow

HELP!

Could it be the paint or the mix of paint/thinner? I don't own an airbrush so that is all I can come up with.

Are you using any airbrush lubricant?  Badger makes a good one.  It doesn't contaminate your paint, but don't use too much.  It is called Regdab Needle Juice.  It might help your issue.

Right after three hours of slow methodical cleaning I managed to extricate a glob of yellow, half-set paint about the size of Saturn.

Ta-daa!

NOW it works.

But I'm too pissed off to paint this late. Plus it's about four years since I blew yellow through this brush! Howzat work then?

Thank you guys.

I'm certainly getting there slowly!

The black edges of the various pits are going to be hazard striped. Anyone got any advice on how to paint them in so that all the stripes are the same width and angle. There's about 18" of them to do, and I think they'll stand out badly unless they are very even.

I've been thinking of making some form of mask out of styrene to spray yellow through but that seems very fiddly for the various different locations.

They were watching footy and one of them did something stupid, knocked out the satellite dish, gave the massive screen the green screen of doom look, when they should have been using it for something else entirely.
