Jay 'Tron Guy' Maynard

When the Zombocalypse hits, even Sci-Fi conventions and cosplayers aren't safe!

 I love that this guy has a bit of a paunch, and really shouldn't be in a skin-tight suit...

An option without the gun would be good too.

He'd make a good Dreadball player with hand swaps as well

I think this chap is awesome.  Echo snailracer's comments about Dreadball - would be great conversion for that game, without the gun.

At what point does a sculptor decide that he wants to sculpt a miniature of Tron Guy?

Nicely sculpted but I don't get why at all. I'm with Dragon on this... not my cuppa at all.

Seems like an odd choice for a figure.  Really can't see the point of it.

As a straight "Not Tron" figure it would be fine - I just don't get the need to add the shotgun ?  :scratchhead:

It's not a 'Not Tron' figure :) It's a mini of 'tron Guy' who's a normal guy who became a meme by uploading his 'How to make a Tron cosplay outfit'. He now attends sci-fi conventions etc. and is pretty well liked.

The idea behind the mini is a) It's fun b) It's the first in possibly a line of 'Convention of the Dead' style minis about what happens when the Zombocalypse hits and people are at a place like Gencon.

It's also a cool pose that will cast in one piece, if that works Kev can convert the mini to a more normal Survivor too.

It reminds me a bit of the veterans that are dragged out in Running man as Arnie dispatches the current Gladiators.
The actual reason makes sense as well

I understood who it was the moment I saw it.

If it's to be the first in a range of Cosplay Apocalypse figures then that's fair enough.

But as a stand alone one off I just can't see any possible reason for the figure to exist.

I'll probably still buy one at some point though.  lol

To add to it a little bit, the fella originally did quite the write-up about how he made his tron suit and alot of folks gave him ALOT of grief initially; mainly due to his physique and the kibbles and bits being a little bit too, er, evident. He took it all with good humor and turned it around with that attitude.
