This could either be very good or very bad.  I'm not getting my hopes up.

There have been a few attempted revivals in recent years. Perhaps something will actually come of this?

They should let it lay where it is.

I know they will mess it up... it is written on the subway wall.

:metoo: The original is great for what it was at the time - a remake will probably just ruin any fond memories  :nah:

Never watch an episode of the original so I'll probably enjoy a remake as I have no preconceived ideas or nostalgia involved with it. I probably won't watch it though as I don't have much time for tv these days.

Watching Blakes 7 is one of the few father/son activities I can remmber as a kid. I would like to think it'll be done well but I'm not sure Syfy's track record is that great  :(

With SyFy's track record it'll get great reviews and loads of viewers. They'll promise a second season and then cancel the show half way through the making of the first.

Or, they'll kill everyone off in the last episode, and the fans will sulk about it for thirty-odd years.

Oh, wait...

There is no evidence they died! You just heard gun fire. It was the long awaited rescue ...!

They weren't sure if they were getting another series so they did a cunning clifhanger ending.

Had they gotten another series ( which was a possibility ) then the only ones to die would have been Blake and the Federation troopers. Everyone else would have been ok as they were shot with stunners.

And Goodbert Gnomefreind the magic pixie flew in on his magic carpet, and they all flew off to Tinkly-Winkly land, where they all lived happily ever after down in Dingley Dell. Except for Avon, who was unfortunately killed by a faulty ATM.
