Beastlords UNDOD
« on: October 02, 2012, 08:41:57 PM »

This was an idea I had for the DOD several years ago and never made... Can't work out how to fit fenris in so it might stay at three.
It will be based on imminent adversity if thats not stretching the theme too much?

A little hard to see the miniatures. Spider, is that the spyglass/Eolith Shae? ( I can't remember the name)

Just read your other thread. That explains it better, and I was wrong.

Yeah I'm rubbish with a camera! It's Heresy spider, Si'Rene, Haela, Svala and the BS monkey.

Gah, the Heresy spider is horrid (in a good way). Lovely model, it's huge. I don't fancy the girls chances tho. Looking forward to seeing how you create your scene.  Good luck!

Hi Toosh, it's going very slowly! Struggling a bit with the base which is supposed to be a cliff face with ledge - I'm using polystyrene for the basic structure and milliput for the surface. Getting a rocky look and texture is hard though - starting to think I should have just used rocks! I'll stick up a pic of my (minimal) progress tomorrow if I can find a camera that works. Any advice on rock bases much appreciated! Painting too - it's starting to look like a large area of grey!

Cork chunks work really well as rocks. Primed dark grey and then dry brushed lighter...

Heres my progress on the base - its a cliff face with a ledge.... Perservering with the milliput (mostly cos I can't stand the idea of starting again) I've been using stones to try to give it a realistic appearence. Need to finish the rock texturing and add some details.

Hopefully it will look better when its all covered with milliput and painted...   :?
