Thank you for the comments guys.
Looks like you managed to paint pretty perfect eyes in the end. Lovely colours on everything. Daphne's legs could look a little smoother but that pink looks really irritating to paint right.
A long way from perfect but poor photography helps! Yes Daphne's legs are the worst bit of anything i've painted on this diorama, and yes the pink is a NIGHTMARE. So I'm calling it done rather than starting again!
The only other update today is that the van is stripped, cleaned and undercoated white again. I may get the windows sprayed tonight and the green on. But then I'm away next weekend so I wont able to do anything for almost 2 weeks!
I have bought some Frisk Film to do the masking, and some decal paper to do the orange bits. This raises an interesting question. In the picture below (left) the colours are separated by black lines; that's because its a CARTOON. I think the black lines give a lot of definition and without the separation (picture right) you don't get the same impact (especially around the orange hippy flowers). I was planning on doing the black lines around the orange wording and the flowers as part of the decals, but do you think its worth black lining in the lines between the green and blue or should i do without?

I *could* black line in afterwards with a fine tip pen or try and paint it in but i'm not sure i have hands that steady and after the last aorted attempt at painting this i'm loathe to get that far and then screw it up...
decisions decisions...
