Stunning work (and your English isn't bad, either!).

Simply breathtaking.  Very imaginative and completely original.  Beautiful soft skintone, the smoothness of it all is stunning.  Welcome along indeed!

Outstanding.

In this image - is that highlight on her hipbone painted, or is it reflection from a real light source?

I am not sure of what "Hip bone" means but I think that it's a real light source.

Soon, I will post other Minis.
A bientôt.

Lovely work Absalom

If you ever get the chance I would really like to see a step-by-step guide of how you paint the hair like that

Sorry, I can't 'cause I don't have the pictures of this WIP.

Another one of the same period (Summer 2010, I think ): "La Jeune Fille aux Fleurs", it means "Young Flower Lady"...although, there's not enough flowers on the base. Tant pis.

Lot of my friends think this piece is really cold for a "Summer" theme But I come from "Bretagne" (it's a lttle bit like England, I guess, but near France. In fact, it's really in France) and summers, there,  are not very sunny.

The next time, I will probably show you The Scooby Gang (a WIP, the bases are not finished). This cartoon was very popular in France when I was young (a looonnng time ago).

Thanks !

This is the Scooby gang ! I've painted those Minis this year. The bases are not really finished  :whip:

I've made Identity Cards (in French, I know... it was for a French Forum   ).

I used some pictures of a famous and unsuccessfull Battle Fleet game to make the frame of cards.  If it's a problem (copyrigh :paranoid: ), I can remove...

The scooby gang are really nicely painted and the shading / highlighting is super smooth, but I think you are falling into the trap of highlighting to white a litle bit too much. Makes the clothes look like they are made out of something a little bit shiney.

Apart from that, top job :D

You are perfectly right . I wanted funny colours...something very shiny and not realistic (I thought at "Totally Spies" in fact). It's maybe too much but it was a pleasure to paint that.

After seeing your nudes above, I figured you were going for a 'cartoon' style with the Scoobey Gang. They're all great.

Except... where's Daphne?
