Invisible bases
« on: June 28, 2012, 08:19:18 PM »
Just a quick note to say that i bought a pack a few days ago and they are flipping amazing! Minis based on urban rubble look odd wandering around a forest and earth/grass bases look weird when a game is set inddors, so these clear ones are the dogs danglies! Inside, outside, alien planets or city streets they look great

Job well done  :yup:

I used them to do Kev's figs for the Salute game last year and they are the nuts. Really easy to use too

Now I only need a way to make them matt, but still clear, and they'd be perfect

Overall frosted effect, Ben? I can get frosted acrylic if that's what you're after.....

Actually, I have those snow troopers that wiff waff sculpted a ahile back and they would look blinking good on frosted acryllic :froth:

But I meant if there was a way to make the plastic properly transparent and clear but not reflective and I think that is impossible as it will "frost" as soon as you try to varnish it
